Program Overview

Ø  Between  January  and  March  2015,  Gatepoint  Research  invited  selected  execu>ves  in  a  wide  variety  of  industries  to  par>cipate  in  a  survey  themed  Trends  in  CA  Spectrum  Usage.    

Ø  Candidates  were  invited  via  email  and  98  execu>ves  par>cipated.  All  were  users  of  CA  Spectrum.  

Ø  Management  levels  represented  were  predominantly  senior  decision  makers:  13%  were  VPs,  47%  were  Directors,  and  40%  were  Managers.  

Ø  Survey  par>cipants  represented  firms  from  a  range  of  market  sectors    including  Financial,  Business,  and  Telecom  Services,  Manufacturing,  Healthcare,  Transporta>on,  Wholesale  Trade,  and  Educa>on.  

Ø  77%  of  responders  work  for  Fortune  1000  companies.    

Ø  100%  of  responders  par>cipated  voluntarily;  none  were  engaged  using  telemarke>ng.

Observations and ConclusionsØ  Among  know  users  of  CA  Spectrum,  VMs,  Network  Devices,  and  Physical  Servers  

are  devices  most  oXen  cited  by  survey  respondents  as  being  monitored  by  CA  Spectrum  in  their  IT  environments.  

Ø  Huge  numbers  of  devices  are  being  managed  by  CA  Spectrum  in  these  systems.  -  52%  of  those  surveyed  monitor  more  than  1,000  devices.  -  25%  monitor  and  manage  more  than  5,000  devices.  

Ø  Mean  Time  To  Repair  (MTTR)  numbers  show  marked  improvement.  Over  half  of  those  surveyed  report  CA  Spectrum  has  improved    MTTR  by  upwards  of  25%.  

Ø  Top  Infrastructure  challenges  solved  by  CA  Spectrum:  users  cite  enhanced  network  visibility  (45%),  service  to  end  users  (41%),  and  MTTR  (41%).  

Ø  Broad  monitoring/management  capability  and  reliability  were  most  oXen  picked  by  those  surveyed  as  factors  that  differen>ate  CA  Spectrum  from  its  compe>tors.    

Ø  A  strong  second  choice  in  infrastructure  management:  CA  eHealth.  39%  of  respondents  report  already  using  eHealth  as  part  of  their  Network  Monitoring  and  Management  Solu>ons.
