Are We There Yet? “In Life, it’s not Where you Go; it’s Who you
Travel With”. (Hallmark Greeting Card)A father’s note to his easily disappointed
child (with permission): My dearest, this week’s Parsha recounts Klal Yisroel’s travels during their forty-year sojourn in the Midbar. Wherever they ended up, they always knew it was ′ה פי They never entertained the .על thought that they may have been better off elsewhere. They knew, without doubt, that this was the best place and best set of cir-cumstances for them. After all, this is where Hashem led them.
This prepared all Yidden, in all times and in all situations, to live with this reassurance. Wherever you are, that is where the Ribono shel Olam wants you to be. Often, we fail to comprehend the benefit in the current state of affairs. Or, we are disappointed that things didn’t work out the way we would have want-ed. Such feelings and thoughts overwhelm and sadden us, only if we forget that we don’t go to the places that WE want to go. We go to the places that the Eibishter wants us to go.
And that is, without a doubt, the best place for us to be. We don’t end up doing the things WE wanted to do, unless Hashem gave us that opportunity. When “nothing ever works out right for us”, it is not because we didn’t choose right again. We ended up in the right place, right where it was ordained, בהשגחה
It may not always be evident, but the פרטית.Yad Hashem is always on the steering wheel. An Ehrlicher Yid will never forget that and will never have reason to complain.
Lucky and happy is the person who lives every day filled with the knowledge and certainty that ה' עמך בכל אשר אתה עושה. I hope you enjoy these goggles and get to see clearly, even in the blurry waves of life, that Hashem will al-ways do everything that is best for you. Lucky you! באהבה, your loving Abba.
Nothing is a bitter disappointment or frustration for those who know that wherever they go, Hashem is with them. ה' ישמור צאתנו ובואנו
.לחיים ולשמחה ולשלוםHave a wonderful Shabbos and a Chodesh of
Yeshuos. בנחמת ציון וירושלים.

NEXT WEEK’S COMINGATTRACTIONS ON CAMPUS!
Lazer Tag
Week three flew by with tons of Simcha hype! The 20’s joined the big leagues and now have their own league games as well. While it would be easy to just play the classic sports such as baseball and basketball, SDC takes it one step further. We had paper clip races, tennis ball competitions, and even a soccer free for all. Three different colored balls one goal and a whole bunch of crazy fun! Mexican Day had its own set of surprises. Rabbi
Sokol tried to get a La Cucaracha dance going together with all the sombrero wearing head staff. The campers were just beginning to learn the words ( do you know them because I don't) when Mr.
Pinto and Mr. Lenny, two of our wonderful custodians, walked in. They were less than impressed with our spirited rendition of this song. Mr. Pinto decided that because it was Mexico Day, he would take over the camp and teach a real spanish song. He broke out into chazanus and did a wonderful Shoichen ad marom v'kadosh shemoi. Then he aanounced Olympic breakout! Olympic Commissioner Donny Rudansky handed out flags to all of our bunks. Thousands of flags, from Ghana to Thailand to South Korea! We had a real United Nations going. The camp was divided into four continents. Sports plus track and field and even aquatic contests were played with zest, vim and geshmak. After many chants and cheers, the winning countries were UK (14), Argentina (22), Mexico (31), Kenya (42), Jamaica (52), Portugal (62), and Peru (72). The 40’s, 60’s, and 70’s had fantabulous overnights with tons of swim and amazing activties! The CITs not only had their mishmar fun, they even go to go to the batting cages! Next week promises to be a jam packed week, full of Lazer tag, Torah shows, petting zoos, and escape rooms! How will we fit it all in?!!! There is always room for more simcha in Simcha!!!!
Simcha Reporter
LIVE REPORT!
Well well well. Another CIT week in the books. Where to begin?
Our leagues have continued unabated. Olshan’s pitching
is still too fast for the radar gun. Jeremy Greenberg's team
unfortunately has no quarterback-whatever will they do?! Gavriel
Aryeh, with his (hopefully) healed back, is rocking once again.
Michoel Singer is diving in volleyball as we speak. Yeah...sports
are wild!!!
And what about our working CITs??? Gerlitz, calm down,
your bunk loves you. Dovid Kenigsberg, we miss you at Seagirt!
Yitzy Vinitsky, of course doing a great job.
And then what about just the general CIT schedule! PACKED!
Just this week, we had a huge CIT appreciation breakfast (Thank
you Mrs. Levy!!!). We had an awesome trip to the batting cages.
And, of course, who can forget our amazing late nights??!!
I can't believe it's already only one week left in the first half.
The action never stops guys! And next week, playoffs begin, and a
champion will be crowned...
Thanks for an awesome week guys! You are all seriously the best,
and each of you adds so so much to our crew.
See you next week!!
All the best,
Avromi Meyer

Dear Simcha Day Camp Parents,As the first half of this wonderful summer comes to a close, and we say goodbye to some of our
staff members and campers, we would like to take a moment to recognize the hard work and caring that our dedicated staff puts in daily, ensuring that your son has the most amazing summer experi-ence ever.
Below please find a staff roster and a suggested tipping list. Staff members who will not be here second half are indicated in bold with a (J) next to their name.
In order to ensure that tips reach their desired destination, we recommend the following suggestions: • Send in tips for each staff member separated in individual envelopes, clearly labeled with your son’s name, bunk, bus and the staff member’s full name • Place all envelopes into a Ziploc bag labeled with your son’s name and bunk • If you come by bus, give the bag to the bus counselor first thing in the morning and he will drop it off in the office. • Send in all tips by Tuesday, July 21st. Looking forward to a spectacular second session.
Sincerely,
Rabbi Avi TaubCamp Director
