Advanced Crochet

100% Organic Merino in: Merino tweed (mt), Merino Siver (ms), Merino Cream (mc) 3mm hook, 3.5mm hook, 4mm hook Tapestry needle to weave in ends of yarn, to keep work as neat as possible. Crochet Tapestry: Worked in dc thoroughout, beginning at the crown, and worked in a spiral, so as to avoid seams and obvious joins. Step 1 Begin with mc and 4mm hook, make 3ch and join

with a slst to form a circle. Step 2 Into circle work 12dc, slst to top of 1st dc, to close

circle. Working in a spiral from now, put a marker to guide you

whenever you change row, and color. Step 3 2ch,1dc into same space, 2dc into each dc to the

end, slst to 2ndch, to close circle. Step 4 2ch, to increase gradually, work 1dc into each dc of

previous row. Step 5 Introduce ms, pull thru and work 1dc, then 1mc,

1ms, all around. Working over the unused yarn, at the back of work.

Step 6 2ms into each ms, 1mc into each mc, repeat to the end of row.

Step 7 2ms into 1st ms, 1ms into next ms, 1mc in mc. Repeat to end.

Step 8 2ms in 1st ms, 1mc in middle ms, 2ms in next ms. repeat to end.

Step 9 1ms in 2ms, 2mc in mc, 1ms in each ms. Repeat to end.

Step 22 Re-introduce mt, work 7mc, 1mt 1 ms, repeat in a spiral all around.

Step 23 Swap to size 3.5 mm hook, for the next several rows continue the pattern of 7mc, 1ms, 1mt in a spiral; I have 12 rows.

Step 24 Repeat last row until desired length, cut off ms

and mt and work over them, 1 row of mc all round of the brim of the hat. Cut off mc and weave end of yarn into the fabric.

Step 10 1ms in each ms, 2mc in 1st mc, 1mc in mc, 1ms in each ms, repeat to end.

Step 11 Introduce mt: 1ms in each ms, 1 mc in 1st mc, 2mt in mid mc, 1mc in next mc, 1ms in each ms. Repeat to the end.

Step 12 1ms in each ms, 1mc in 1st mc, 1mt in each mt, 1mc in mc, 1ms in each ms, 1mc in mc. Repeat to the end.

Now repeat this row several times without increasing or

decreasing, I have 8 rows. Step 13 Working off the mt: ms in each ms, 1mc in mc, 1mt

in 1st mt, 1mc in next mt, 1mc in mc, ms in each 2 ms. Repeat to end.

Step 14 1ms in each ms, 1mc in mc, 1mc in mt, 1mc in next 2 mc, 1ms in next 2 ms, 1mc in mc, cut off mt, working over the remaining yarn end.

Step 15 1mc in ms, 1mc in mc, 1mc in ms, 1ms in ms, 1mc in next 3 mc, 1ms in mc, 1ms in ms, 1mc in ms, 1mc in mc, mc in ms. repeat to end.

Step 16 1ms in ms, 1mc in mc, twice, 1ms in mc, 1ms in next ms, 1mc in next 4 mc, 1ms in ms, 1mc in mc twice, 1ms in mc, 1ms in ms.

Step 17 1mc in mc 5 times, 1ms in ms, 1mc in mc, 1ms in mc, 1ms in ms. Repeat to end.

Step 18 1mc in ms, 1mc in next 4mc, 1ms in ms, 1mc in mc. Repeat to end.

Step 19 1ms in ms, 1mc in Mc, 1ms in mc, 1mc in next 7 mc. Repeat to end.

Step 20 1mc in 7 mc, 1mc in ms, 1ms in 2 ms, 1mc. Repeat to end.

Step 21 1mc in 7 mc, 1ms in mc, 1ms in ms, 1mc in next 7 mc, repeat to the end.
