Powerful tools for deep concrete keying

APPLICATIONS

The range of Trelawny long reach pneumatic scabblers and compactors can be supplied with interchangeable scabbling

heads and tamper feet to suit most applications. They are the most powerful tools for deep concrete keying and for back-fill

tamping especially in and around deep foundations and utility poles.

Ideal for the removal of rust, scale, paint, adhesives and other deposits from steel and concrete surfaces in

preparation for re-coating. They produce an ideal key or grooved profile on concrete for waterproofing and non-slip

surface applications.

Used to remove up to 2mm of material water and sand slurry will minimize clogging problems. C24 stone is most popular. Removal rates can approach 40 Square metres / hour. Use C60 & C120 on terrazzo and marble surfaces. Service life is shorter with coarse grit stones. Add external weight to floor grinder to increase productivity.

Removes grease, wax, food by-products & rubber carpet backing. Roughen linoleum and vinyl tiles prior to application of a new coating. Transfer brushes between each disc every hour to remove directional set. DO NOT add external weight to floor grinder to increase productivity.

Remove varnish, paint, epoxy, fibreglass & grout. Roughen floors prior to coating applications. Beam flail minimizes damage to surface cap. Add external weight to floor grinder to increase productivity and flail penetration into the surface cap.

Alternative to Carborundum Abrasive Blocks. Suitable to remove paint, high spot reduction and general concrete grinding.

Ideal for larger grinding projects. Softer matrix provides more aggressive action for diamond grits. Resist clogging better than stones and delivers up to 15 times greater service life. Removal rates for 2mm of concrete can approach 50 Square metres / hour. Add external weight to floor grinder to increase productivity.

SUCTION UNIT

The suction is provided by three by-pass motors, using carbon

brushes, operated by independent switches and placed inside

a sturdy steel casing . The motor head is filled with noise

reducing material, in order to limit as much as possible the

level of noise, and designed in order to convey the exhaust air

towards the ground, so as not to bother the user and not to

raise possible dust in the neighbouring area. Two handles

placed on the sides enable an easy lifting and removal of the

motor head, for possible inspection or replacement of the

underlying filter.

FILTER UNIT

The filter is protected inside the steel filter chamber; the filter is

made of polyester, tailored with pockets in order to increase

the filter surface (20.000 cm2), and has a high filtration

efficiency (3 micron). A manual filter shaker enables the user

to clean the filter efficiently, by a vertical shaking movement,

so as to detach most of the dust and maintain the filter clean,

in order to increase its life and maintain the suction

performance of the machine.

COLLECTION UNIT

The vacuumed material is placed inside a drop-down bin

mounted on wheels (60 litres capacity), which makes it

possible to dispose easily & safely of the sucked material.

Trelawny offer the highest quality needle proven to last more than 10 times the duration of some competitor needles. Our

customers benefit from less needle changes and therefore reduced downtime.

All the Trelawny Needle Scalers are delivered from stock complete with 180mm long x 3mm diameter chisel

tipped high performance needles. Other needle holders are available as accessories for use with 2mm and 4mm

diameter needles. We also offer spark resistant needles for use in potentially hazardous areas & stainless steel

for use in areas where the effect of corrosion from humidity can be a problem such as applications in the food

processing industry.

Varying pack sizes are offered to give customers a variety of choices, including bulk needle boxes. Standard

Trelawny Range


These needles will clean the same materials as a pointed tip, but will leave

light surface marking.

The flat tips needles will reduce marking on metal surfaces and can

actually give a polishing effect.

For use on thin gauge metals and any surface where a light treatment is

required.

2mm needle used on a welded joint produces a similar effect to shot

peening, reducing stress in the weld.

Sharpened to a conical point, these are the most effective in breaking

through very hard scale on materials where some surface indentation is

permissible - or where a roughening or keying of the surface is actually

desirable.

The SF11 will fracture and reduce scale, corrosion and thick coatings

in minutes.

Ideal for applications on ship decks, tank bottoms, bridge decks and

floating platforms. Used ahead of grit blasting to breakdown coatings,

significantly reduces cost of spent blast media & increases surface

preparation productivity.
