TheMatrixT50X,T50X-U120treadmillisforuseonanominal120-voltcircuitandhasanon-loopedgroundingplug.Makesurethatthe120-volttreadmillisconnectedtoanoutlet,NEMA5-20R,havingthesameconfigu-rationastheplug.Noadaptershouldbeusedwiththisproduct.

TheMatrixT50X,T50X-U220treadmillisforuseonanominal220-voltcircuitandhasanon-loopedgroundingplug.Makesurethatthe220-volttreadmillisconnectedtoanoutlet,NEMA6-20R,havingthesameconfigurationastheplug.Noadaptershouldbeusedwiththisproduct.
1.5GROUNDINGINSTRUCTIONS
Thetreadmillmustbegrounded.Ifitshouldmalfunctionorbreakdown,groundingprovidesapathofleastresistanceforelectriccurrenttoreducetheriskofelectricshock.Thetreadmillisequippedwithacordhavinganequipment-groundingconductorandagroundingplug.Theplugmustbepluggedintoanappropriateoutletthatisproperlyinstalledandgroundedinaccordancewithalllocalcodesandordinances.IftheuserdoesnotfollowthesegroundingInstructions,theusercouldvoidtheMatrixlimitedwarranty.

2. Useamildsoapanddampcloth.DONOTuseammoniabasedcleaner.Thiswillcausediscoloringofthealuminumandplasticsitcomesintocontactwith.
3. Donotpourwaterorcleaningsolutionsonanysurface.Thiscouldcauseelectrocution.
4. Wipetheconsoleandsiderailsaftereveryuse.5. Brushawayanywaxdepositsfromthedeckandbeltarea.Thisisa
commonoccurrenceuntilthewaxisworkedintothebeltmaterial.6. Besuretoremoveanyobstructionsfromthepathoftheelevation
wheelsincludingpowercords.7. Monthly,unplugthetreadmillandremovethemotorcover.Checkfor
debrisandcleanwithadryclothorsmallvacuumnozzle.

2.2DECKANDBELTREPLACEMENT
Oneofthemostcommonwearandtearitemsonatreadmillisthedeckandbeltcombination.Ifthesetwoitemsarenotproperlymaintainedtheycancausedamagetoothercomponents.Thisproducthasbeenprovidedwiththemostadvancedmaintenancefreelubricatingsystemonthemarket.TheMatrixUltimateDeck™doesnotrequireanymaintenance,otherthancleaningandbelttightening,forupto25,000miles.
WARNING:Donotrunthetreadmillwhilecleaningthebeltanddeck.Thiscancauseseriousinjuryandcandamagethemachine.
Maintainthebeltanddeckbywipingthesidesofthebeltanddeckwithacleancloth.Theusercanalsowipeunderthebelt2inchesonbothsidesremovinganydustordebris.
Thedeckcanbeflippedandreinstalledorreplacedbyanauthorizedservicetechnician.PleasecontactMatrixFitnessSystemsformoreinformation.
2.3CHECKFORDAMAGEDPARTS
DONOTuseanyequipmentthatisdamagedorhaswornorbrokenparts.UseonlyreplacementpartssuppliedbyMatrixFitnessSystems.
MAINTAINLABELSANDNAMEPLATES.Donotremovelabelsforanyreason.Theycontainimportantinformation.Ifunreadableormissing,contactMatrixFitnessSystemsforareplacementoranauthorizedserviceprovider.
MAINTAINALLEqUIPMENTPreventativemaintenanceisthekeytosmoothoperatingequipment,aswellaskeepingtheusersliabilitytoaminimum.Equipmentneedstobeinspectedatregularintervals.Defectivecomponentsmustbereplacedimmediately.Improperlyworkingequipmentmustbekeptoutofuseuntilitisrepaired.Ensurethatanyperson(s)makingadjustmentsorperformingmaintenanceorrepairofanykindisqualifiedtodoso.MatrixFitnessSystemswillprovideserviceandmaintenancetrainingatourcorporatefacilityuponrequestorinthefieldifproperarrangementsaremade.

2.4ADJUSTINGTHEBELT
Afterplacingthetreadmillinthepositionitwillbeused,thebeltmustbecheckedforpropertensionandcentering.Thebeltmightneedtobeadjustedafterthefirsttwohoursofuse.Temperature,humidity,andusecausethebelttostretchatdifferentrates.Ifthebeltstartstoslipwhenauserisonit,besuretofollowthedirectionsbelow.
Locatethetwohexheadboltsontherearofthetreadmill.Theboltsarelocatedateachendoftheframeatthebackofthetreadmill.Theseboltsadjusttherearbeltroller.Donotadjustuntilthetreadmillison.Thiswillpreventovertighteningofoneside.
Thebeltshouldhaveequaldistanceoneithersidebetweentheframe.Ifthebeltistouchingoneside,donotstartthetreadmill.Turntheboltscounterclockwiseapproximatelyonefullturnoneachside.Manuallycenterthebeltbypushingthebeltfromsidetoside.Tightentheboltsthesameamountaswhentheuserloosenedthem,approximatelyonefullturn.Inspectthebeltfordamage.
Whilethetreadmillisrunningat5kph,observethebeltposition.Ifitismovingtotheright,tightentherightboltbyturningitclockwise¼turn,andloosentheleftbolt¼turn.Ifitismovingtotheleft,tightentheleftboltbyturningitclockwise¼turnandloosentheright¼turn.RepeatStep3untilthebeltremainscenteredforseveralminutes.
Checkthetensionofthebelt.Thebeltshouldbeverysnug.Whenapersonwalksorrunsonthebelt,itshouldnothesitateorslip.Ifthisoccurs,tightenthebeltbyturningbothboltsclockwise¼turn.Repeatifnecessary.
