DESCRIPTION

The Company TravelTrex GmbH was founded in 1999 in Cologne, and initially specialised in the direct sale of ski holidays. That means that you book directly with the tour operator and save money. Due to its attractive offers, with the trading name "SnowTrex", the company has become Germany's largest tour operator for winter sport holidays within a few years. Since 2005, SnowTrex holidays have also been sold internationally. After a successful entry on to the Polish market, the French and English markets followed and the website is now available in over 15 languages. Therefore TravelTrex belongs to one of the most successful, international winter sports tour operators. Since 2007, the company also markets summer holidays under the trading name HolidayTrex. Main destinations are the Alps and German coasts. In 2012 SpaTrex and SportsTrex additionally went online for the German market. In an official ranking of the largest German tour operators the company achieved the position 39 in the tourism year 10/11. In the following season 11/12, 106,000 guest went on holiday with TravelTrex. Started as a one-person company in 1999, our team now consists of over 100 people. As a company offering a vocational training programme, TravelTrex GmbH has numerous apprenticeship placings for careers including travel management consultants, office administrators, IT specialists, BA students and qualified logisticians. The SnowTrex Concept SnowTrex holidays are characterised by simplicity and clarity and are based on the customer's wish for individuality and service. We organise the journey (on request), the accommodation and lift pass for our guests. In most resorts there is a selection of accommodations and categories to choose from. Lessons and equipment hire can be booked as extras for some of the offered destinations. In the largest resorts support is offered by a central holiday rep that also organises an unobtrusive entertainment programme (optional participation). These are the things that set SnowTrex apart from other ski holiday tour operators which generally offer only one group accommodation per resort, where the guest is then entertained “around the clock”. TravelTrex – Company ProfileIn the ranking of the largest German tour operators, the company was at position 39 for the 10/11 tourism year. In the following year 11/12, over 106,000 guests spent their holiday with TravelTrex.

TravelTrex GmbH was founded in 1999 in Cologne and initially specialized in selling ski holidays the trading name SnowTrex. Within only a few years, the company rose within the segment to become the largest tour operator in Germany. Since 2005, SnowTrex holi-days are also sold internationally. Af-ter a successful entry on the Polish market, the French and English mar-kets followed. SnowTrex holidays are

now available in 15 languages. Conse-quently TravelTrex now belongs to the leading international tour operators selling winter sports holidays.

Since 2007 the company also sells holidays for all other seasons under the brand name HolidayTrex (see page 16 et seq.). Main destinations are the Alps and the German coastal regions.

INTERNATIONAl ExPANSION

Encouraged by the numerous book-ings by foreign guests on the German website, the entry into the Polish mar-ket in 2005 ensued. This went extre-mely well, and with 652 holiday parti-cipants even exceeded the results of SnowTrex Germany in the first winter (99/00: 585 guests). This prompted us to extend the number of foreign languages available:▪ 2006: English, French▪ 2007: Italian, Czech, Dutch, Romanian▪ 2008: Danish, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish▪ 2010: Slovakian▪ 2011: Russian, Slovenian

Since 2008 our HolidayTrex holidays are also sold to international customers. All new market entries have been success-ful in the past. So now TravelTrex holi-days are bookable in 15 languages. The offer is completed by an international call centre which supports customers in the respective national language.

In 2010/11, 38% of all TravelTrex boo-kings originated from abroad. This fi-gure will increase further, due to rapid international growth.

SnowTrex Ski Holidays has been on the German market since 1999. What started small in winter 99/00, with 585 guests, has since then increased considerably: SnowTrex is Europe’s largest tour operator for winter sports holidays. The offer comprises, besides the Alps, also nearly all other mountain regions in Europe as well as the USA. The holidays are bookable in 15 languages.

There are over 55 million winter sports fans in Europe. Included in this number are skiers and snow-boarders, singles, couples, groups and families, people of all ages who place very diverse de-mands on their winter holiday. SnowTrex fits the bill with its pro-duct line, which has been espe-cially put together to meet the demands of these very different target groups. From luxury holi-days in 5-star hotels to low cost ski holidays for €99 (1 week incl. lift pass), SnowTrex leaves no customer’s wish unfulfilled. We have a holiday to match all needs.

ProductSnowTrex distinguishes itself by the successful combination of individua-lity and service.Individuality: SnowTrex offers a range of accommodations in each resort, so that customers can find the right accommodation to meet their indivi-dual wishes.Service: The basic holiday package in-cludes a lift pass in addition to accom-modation. Upon request, SnowTrex also organises travel arrangements (flights), board, equipment hire, less-ons, etc. for customers.

A special feature of the SnowTrex pro-gramme is the low-cost holiday selec-tion in France. Starting at € 99 (incl. lift pass) SnowTrex offers a one week holi-day in an attractive ski area (100 km of pistes) in comfortable accommoda-tions (sauna, outdoor pool, fitness).

Holiday DestinationsThe most important countries in the SnowTrex product line are Austria and France. Due to the high response on low cost ski holidays, France was the No. 1 destination country, even before Austria, during the past two years. In winter 2011/12 Austria regained the top position and therefore is back to being the most popular destination with SnowTrex customers. Ski holi-days to Germany are becoming more popular and are followed by the travel destinations Italy and the Czech Repu-blic. Due to international expansion (see page 4), SnowTrex has extended its offer to a rich selection of holiday

destinations outside the Alpine area. Winter sports fans who live far from the Alps often favour their “own” mountain range, for example the Giant Mountains for the Czechs, or the Tatras for the Slovakians. There are many who do have an interest in ski holidays outside the Alps. The offer comprises the Pyrenees, the Sauerland (Rothaar Mountains), the Harz, the lower Tatras, the Giant Mountains, as well as the Rila and Pirin Mountains; holidays to the Rocky Mountains round off the travel selection.

CustomersThe internationalisation of our custo-mers is an important advantage for our property managers, as well as our incoming agents, as at times, holiday schedules differ. This creates more re-gular occupancy rates for the accommodations.

In virtually all European markets, mar-keting measures are conducted in the respective native language, which leads to even broader internationali-sation.

The basis for the success SnowTrex has experienced, are our customers, whose support has guided our development from regional to national to interna- tional tour operator.

53 % of the SnowTrex customers come from Germany, which means that the number of international customers has grown to 47 % in comparison to the previous year (46 %). We therefore expect that in the winter season 12/13 more than half of our customers will come from abroad. In the 11/12 winter season, customers from 48 countries booked a SnowTrex holiday.

The equally divided age structure shows that SnowTrex holidays are popular with all generations. 34% of the customers belong to the fun- orientated and price-sensitive group of 20 – 34-year olds, whilst 46% are at least 35 years and provide lots of consumer power and quality con-sciousness. The other 20% are either children or teens. This shows clearly that SnowTrex also caters to the parti-cular needs of families on ski holidays.

WebsiteThe Internet is the most important sales channel for SnowTrex. In winter 11/12 the website received up to 60,000 visitors per day.

Reasons for the website’s success in-clude our large selection of offers and the fact that it is user-friendly, as well as the high content of information, the high-quality design and the continuo-us updates. Presenting numerous fea-tures, such as automatic offer prepa-ration, price comparison, videos from

the ski resorts, ski areas and accom-modations, SnowTrex customer feedback information, current snow conditions and blog, etc., SnowTrex is in a top position within the seg-ment of European tour operators.

The adoption of multiple languages was a milestone in 2005. Since then, the website has been avai- lable in all major European langu-ages (see page 4).

In addition to the website, the SnowTrex newsletter is sent to over 100,000 subscribers and is another important pillar in marketing our product. Every other week in winter, subscribers receive last minute deals, resort information, current snow information and tips in their inbox. The receiver addresses are continually checked for quality. The above menti-oned number of subscribers consists solely of validated addresses, which were either received through double opt-in or were given by bookers.

The SnowTrex newsletter boasts a special appeal because of its con-nection with “Crazy Booking Night”, the SnowTrex booking event. Only in the newsletter can customers receive advance infor-mation regarding the holidays that will be offered in the coming “Crazy Booking Night” at reduced prices.

Het slechts op 18 km van Valfréjus liggende Orelle biedt een perfecte instap in het skigebied van Val Thorens, hét centrum van Les 3 Vallées. Met de skipas ESKI-MO kunt u behalve de pistes in Valfréjus ook telkens een dag in de ski-gebieden Aussois, La Norma en Val Cenis Vanoise doorbrengen. Daarmee staat een gebied van meer dan 300 pistekilometer tot uw beschikking!

Beschrijving van het residentie: Het in chaletstijl gebouwde residentie biedt een prachtige blik op het Savoyse berggebied en het slechts op 200 m afstand gelegen centrum. De piste loopt direct langs het huis – de deur uit, op de ski's en gaan! De chalet beschikt over een lift, receptie, sauna en fitnessruimte.

For 5 years now, TravelTrex GmbH is also active as an operator of summer holidays under the trading name HolidayTrex. Due to the high response on the holidays, the programme has been continuously expanded. What started as a “one-man-company” in 1999, has now grown to a team of over 100 employees from 15 different nations, including numerous trainees. For being an apprenticeship company, TravelTrex GmbH has been awarded several times. Young people are trained on seven different jobs with emphasis on IT and tourism.
