As a dog owner I love my furry baby to the ends of the world.
![Page 2: Traveling with your dog](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022070600/58a6120f1a28ab57488b4b4b/html5/thumbnails/2.jpg)
I go almost everywhere with her.
![Page 3: Traveling with your dog](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022070600/58a6120f1a28ab57488b4b4b/html5/thumbnails/3.jpg)
I would take her to work with me if it was allowed.

However I do realize that when I take her with me to the park, beach, etc, I need to get us to our destination safely.
![Page 5: Traveling with your dog](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022070600/58a6120f1a28ab57488b4b4b/html5/thumbnails/5.jpg)
I must realize that no matter how much I love my furry friend she too can be a distraction like texting while driving
if the proper safety precautions aren’t followed.

There are certain things to pack for when you and your four legged friend go somewhere.
![Page 7: Traveling with your dog](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022070600/58a6120f1a28ab57488b4b4b/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
These items include seat covers to keep fir from getting everything, paper towels and stain remover in case of an
accident, food and water, and potty bags just in case.

Tips to make sure your dog is happy during the ride
![Page 9: Traveling with your dog](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022070600/58a6120f1a28ab57488b4b4b/html5/thumbnails/9.jpg)
Other tips for a pleasant trip with Fido include treating any kind of car sickness.
![Page 10: Traveling with your dog](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022070600/58a6120f1a28ab57488b4b4b/html5/thumbnails/10.jpg)
This can include nausea which can be treated with medicine from your vet, nervousness while driving which the effect can be lessened by putting Fido in the car without going
anywhere, and providing plenty of praise so that they know that you love them and that they will survive this trip.

Another tip for making sure it is a pleasant ride for everyone is too take bedding and toys for man's best friend so that they don’t get bored, and can take a nap if they get
tired.
![Page 12: Traveling with your dog](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022070600/58a6120f1a28ab57488b4b4b/html5/thumbnails/12.jpg)
The next topic of discussion for a pleasant trip with man's best friend is different ways to avoid an accident.
![Page 13: Traveling with your dog](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022070600/58a6120f1a28ab57488b4b4b/html5/thumbnails/13.jpg)
Ways to protect Fido include placing them in a crate during the trip.
![Page 14: Traveling with your dog](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022070600/58a6120f1a28ab57488b4b4b/html5/thumbnails/14.jpg)
The reasoning behind this is that if you need to suddenly step on the breaks to avoid hitting another vehicle the crate
will keep your canine from hitting the windshield or flying out of the car.

![Page 16: Traveling with your dog](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022070600/58a6120f1a28ab57488b4b4b/html5/thumbnails/16.jpg)
Lets discuss temperature in your car and how it affects your pooch.
![Page 17: Traveling with your dog](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022070600/58a6120f1a28ab57488b4b4b/html5/thumbnails/17.jpg)
Leaving your dog in the car is dangerous for a number of reasons.
![Page 18: Traveling with your dog](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022070600/58a6120f1a28ab57488b4b4b/html5/thumbnails/18.jpg)
The first reason is the temperature.
![Page 19: Traveling with your dog](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022070600/58a6120f1a28ab57488b4b4b/html5/thumbnails/19.jpg)
If you left your pooch in a car on a day that it is 85 degrees outside of the vehicle that can quickly turn into 102 degrees
inside the vehicle.
![Page 20: Traveling with your dog](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022070600/58a6120f1a28ab57488b4b4b/html5/thumbnails/20.jpg)
Likewise if you leave your furry friend in the car on a cold day he or she can freeze.

In conclusion by remembering and using these tips you and your dog can have a safe trip in the car.
