We make self sustainable projects, otherwise it will keep on depending on Govt. grants,

and alibis for non-performance, none of which could be allowed. So the garbage has to

undergo metamorphosis to something useful and commercially viable like:

1. Compost

2. RDF

3. A C&D waste value added plant like manufacturing bricks,blocks or even plain aggregate

4. Plastic recycling

5. Inorganic recyclable material

6. Waste to energy, by using appropriate technology likecombustion/steam cycle route or biomethanation

7. Advertising on C&T vehicles

8. collection and Transportation user charge revenue

9. CDM


Our projects are integrated i.e. C&T and P&D to us only, because:

It ensures synergies in operation

One of the many operators may prove to be the weakest link in the chain

The entire system is efficient for there are no allegations/counter allegations amongst

multiple operators

Fixation of responsibilities is possible

Costs are controlled because of there will be no duplicity of efforts

And Inclusive, to include all the stakeholders like Public, State, and most important the

garbage dependant populace like Rag Pickers

When the land is decreasing for Food, Forest, Housing and Recreation, it will be

criminal to burden the mother earth with something as dispensable as Garbage.

Moreover, the landfilling discourages recycling and increases the dependence of a

project to depend on Govt. doles to feed a landfill killing the spirit of self

sustainability.


When a system, society or legislature, decides a law it is an effort of that system to find a

best solution for the problem of the time relevant to that times. So we, at A2Z, abide by

laws religiously. And we respect the right of every human being to live a life of self respect,

social respect and dignity.

So all our operations, be it collection & transportation or processing & disposal, are

conducted strictly meeting the letter and spirit of MSW (H&M)

Rules, 2000 and various recommendations of CPHEEO and try to emulate the best

International practices for handling such materials.

The A2Z touch


Collection & Transportation

The city and all cluster ULBs are divided into clear

working zones which may be contiguous with the

existing zonal structuring of the respective ULBs.

A2Z starts the working prospectively and progressively

so that all the zones get covered in 90 days of the

COD.

The door to door collection starts at 7 am and will go

on till 1 pm.

Even in the slum areas are covered efficiently.

All the team members going door to door for

collection of garbage are called Safai Mitra. Each

Safai Mitra wears an eye catching uniform which is

clean and has protective gear on his body like gloves

and mask etc.

The Safai Mitra with an 8-bin rickshaw goes to a

house and whistles. One member of the house comes

out with the package full of garbage and drops it in

one of the 8 bins in the rickshaw.

Once the rickshaw is full, it unloads into the nearby

1100 CC bin. The 1100 CC bin is unloaded in to the

Refuse Compactor.

There are no strewn garbage around the bins. The

area around bins are clean.

Each & every lane of each ward

and each bin location are

mapped, marked and tabulated.

Each of the vehicles is equipped

with GPS system and every

incidence of the compactor

halting at every bin is monitored

and recorded.

Old dhalaos (community waste stations/WSDs as

they are called in Any Indian City) have been

cleaned and abandoned.

The user charges are collected by us and we use the

onsite online data loggers to collect payment, track

user response and issue receipts.

•This material for RDF is shredded and homogenized to RDF Fluff

and is briquetted for greater market acceptance. Holcim in India

already buying for Kymore cement Kiln.

•Apart from Compost and RDF we recycle the Waste to produce:

•Value added products from laminated plastics like Lays

pouches.

•Recycled plastic granules from the non-laminated plastic

•Construction grade aggregate, Building blocks, interlocking

tiles, and agriculture aggregate from construction and

demolition debris.


We are here to partner with Kanpur city in providing the most basic of civic

amenities to public – Clean city. And like true partners, we are available to

shoulder all responsibilities that are expected of us. We have never nurtured

the idea of our identity separately from Nagar Nigam. We are working for and

on behalf of NNK like their extended arm only
