Braislin at 5:30 p.m. Approved Agenda C. Kelly moved to approve the agenda, J. Perotti seconded this motion and all others were in favor. Approved March 19, 2014 Meeting Minutes – J. Perotti moved to approve the minutes as amended, seconded by C. Kelly, all others were in favor. Review WalkAround of LukeFitting Property and meeting with Transfer Station staff: M. Brown reported that due to the grade of the land, more fill will be needed than previously expected. B. Palmer was surprised by the severe wind from the west of the property, therefore suggesting that the wind screening be placed closer to the facility. K. Grindle met with the Transfer Station staff for approximately 2hours this past month and compiled a list of suggestions that the staff made regarding the design of the new transfer station. The committee reviewed each suggestion on the list (see attached) and agreed with most items, finding the list extremely valid and helpful. E. Reagan made an additional design suggestion to incorporate a conference room and space for school use, with a public restroom, into the new transfer station. It was discussed that a conference room could not be budgeted into the design at this time, but perhaps we could plan accordingly to allow for flexibility to construct this in the future. Brian  Bartram  (Manager,  Salisbury-‐Sharon  Transfer  Station)

Members  of  Press  (Lakeville  Journal)  &  Public  (Peter  Becket,  Charlie  Oulette,  Patricia  Chamberlin  Malcolm  Brown,  Ed  Reagan,  Bob  Loucks,  Ann  Saunders,  Curtis  Rand,  Bob  Palmer)

Meeting  was  called  to  order  by  B.  Braislin  at  5:30  p.m.

Approved  Agenda-‐  C.

Review  Walk-‐Around  of  Luke-‐Fitting  Property  and  meeting  with  Transfer  Station  staff:    M.

K.  Grindle  met  with  the  Transfer  Station  staff  for  approximately  2-‐hours  this  past  month  and  compiled  a  list  of  suggestions  that  the  staff  made  regarding  the  design  of  the  new  transfer  station.

K.  Grindle  presented  the  committee  with  a  new  conceptual  plan,  which  incorporates  many  of  the  suggestions  from  the  transfer  station  staff  into  the  new  design.    He  pointed  out  that  there  is  approximately  a  45-‐foot  space  to  shift  the  site  line  for  entry  into  the  property  before  it  would  be  necessary  to  move  electrical  poles,  which  is  costly.    K.  Grindle  also  pointed  out  that  as  the  design  continues  to  grow  and  we  strive  to  stay  within  budget,  cost  saving  options  should  be  discussed,  such  as  narrowing  the  drive  isles,  in  the  near  future  once  a  layout  is  agreed  upon.    Comments  from  Members:  None

Comments  from  Public:  None

C.  Kelly  moved  to  adjourn  the  meeting  at  6:30  p.m.,  seconded  by  J.  Perotti.
