This checklist helps you identify your transferable skills, knowledge and capabilities. These

are any knowledge, skills and capabilities that you have that can be applied to another type

of job, organisation or sector. For example, project management skills can be applied to any

type of project, in any organisation, in any sector. Other examples are budget management,

people skills, time management, organisational skills. You will have many...

Remember – transferable skills and competencies are not just from your job but from all

aspects of your life – home, hobbies, voluntary work, previous roles and so forth.

When working through the checklist identify which ones you can do and then star the ones

that a particular strength of yours. This isn’t an exhaustive list so I have included a blank list

where you can add ones of your own.

Tip - ask others to help you as often people can see things in us that we can’t see for

ourselves.
