NEW RESIDENCE HALL Opened in the Fall of 2014, 375 first-year students now have the opportunity to live in our newest 90,000 square-foot residence hall. This facility includes a full-service dining facility, class-rooms, student activity space, and a movie theater.

DELUXERCISE: $15.5 MILLION DAVID A. BECKERMAN RECREATION CENTER Break a sweat in the new $15.5 million David A. Beckerman Recreation Center featuring the latest exercise equipment, a multi-court gymnasium, yoga, step aerobics, Pilates, racquetball courts, lounges, locker rooms, a juice/smoothie bar and an illuminated glass-enclosed running track.

MARINE SCIENCES CENTER Scheduled to open in the Fall of 2016, the two-story building will be housed on a floating 48,000-square-foot platform. UNH will have state-of-the-art marine science research and teaching labs, a large wet lab, office space and public education space in the building.

Lee Institute includes a Forensics Crisis Management Command Center, a Forensic Technology Lab, the National Crime Scene Training and Technology Center, a Crime Scene The-ater, and a Forensics Learning Center. The impressive, one-of-a-kind learning facility, is unmatched anywhere in the field of forensics or education.

RALPH F. DELLACAMERA STADIUM The University of New Haven football team now plays on a brand new, adrenaline inducing, blue and gold turf field. Whether you are on the field or in the stands, you feel the rush of this added weapon.

DAVID A. BECKERMAN FOUNDED THE STARTER CORPORATION IN NEW HAVEN, CT shortly after graduating from UNH. During the 1990’s, the Starter Corporation manufactured and supplied official uniforms for the main sports leagues in the United States including teams in the NFL, NBA, and NHL.

FORMER U.S. PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON taught Political Science and Constitutional Law at the University of New Haven while he was enrolled at the Yale Law School in the early 1970’s.

UNH PROFESSOR DR. EVA SAPI is a nationally recognized expert on Lyme Disease, researching the latest developments in the diagnosis and treatment of the tick-borne disease. She recently led a student research project that resulted in the development of an at-home testing kit for Lyme Disease.

DON FERTMAN, UNH COMMUNICATION ALUM, NOW CHIEF DEVELOPMENT OFFICER FOR SUBWAY was recently featured on the TV show ‘Undercover Boss.’ As the head of franchise development, Fertman has helped the corporation grow from 155 franchise locations to more than 35,000 over the course of his career.

WORLD-RENOWNED FORENSIC SCIENTIST DR. HENRY C. LEE, whose expert testimony at such high-profile cases as O.J. Simpson, Jon Benet Ramsey, Laci Peterson and the reinvestigation of the JFK assassination has brought acclaim to UNH, founded our Forensic Science program in 1975 and continues his work on our campus to this day.

UNH ALUM LAWRENCE P. FLANAGAN, AS CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER FOR MASTERCARD, developed and launched the ‘Priceless’ campaign, one of the longest running and most successful advertising campaigns in history.

The University of New Haven has one of the easiest transfer enrollment processes around. We review applications for prospective transfer students on a ROLLING ADMISSIONS CYCLE. This means that students can apply for admission at any time throughout the year and receive a decision shortly after submission of all required materials.

ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY:

Official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended

250–500 word personal statement on why you are interested in transferring to the University of New Haven

Official high school transcript and SAT/ACT scores (only for students with fewer than 12 college credits)

After students are accepted for admission, they will receive a TRANSFER CREDIT EVALUATION WITHIN 2–3 WEEKS. Our personal transfer counselors will then work closely with you throughout the entire enrollment process.

PLEASE NOTE: It is recommended that students APPLY AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE since space in many of our academic programs will fill up quickly. Also, part-time transfer applicants should set up a personal interview with a Transfer Enrollment Counselor as a supplement to their application.
