Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a worldwide public health concern. Despite spectacular advances in the management of Diabetes, patients pose many challenges including preventable complications. Being a multifactori-al disease it demands multidimensional approach for its management. Transdisciplinary research and integrated management of diabetes is need of the hour to uncover new insights for the prevention and man-agement of DM. Customized patient centric approach is the corner stone of Integrative Medicine which addresses the whole gamut of physical, emotional, mental, social, spiritual and environmental influences on a person’s health.
