We love... Upcoming Events We're Engaged Real wedding

Patria Woman’s Conference

Patria hosted their annual Ladies Retreat at Tramonto this year, where 245 ladies attended this very inspiring day. Guest speaker, Carol Singleton, the wellknown speaker from Russia, who helped establish the World Pray Centre in Moscow and who ministers powerfully in intercession and prophesy, gave the ladiessoul food to go deeper with the Lord. It was a day of power, release & purpose.

With summer comes love and with love, sometime along the line, inevitably comes the wedding. As an attendee to a relative/friend/colleagues wedding youeither dread it or embrace it, there are so many “what’s” involved. What to wear, what to give, what to expect…. Here are a few things that will help you feelthe love this season:

Children: I think the keyword here is babysitter; there is nothing worse than noise and commotion during a special moment. Most Venues can arrange ababysitter and kids’ entertainment corner out of the main reception, this way, you have peace of mind and can also enjoy a moms’ night off.

The Gift: With a wedding registry you can be sure to give a welcomed gift. If you have budgetary issues, why not offer a service? If you are a beautician, a

complimentary beauty session, a Photographer, maybe a private photo session... I’m sure you get the gist!

Dress code: For the couple this is a special occasion to really get dollied or suited up. Be a sport and leave the jeans in the cupboard for a day.

Etiquette: Give the groom a chance to make his speech, the grandparents to sing the blessing and the couple to promise their vows without interruption orjoke, there will certainly be time for that all through the party!

The Bar: Go easy on the open bar tab, the couple wants you to enjoy your evening, try not to get out of hand, when buying expensive shooters, offer to payfor them first.

RSVP: Be helpful and send your reply well in advance, this will help the wedding couple finalise their venue payments and help with the daunting seatingarrangements.

Mood board Inspiration:

There is a certain element to stripes. They can be quirky, yet elegant & fun as well as smart & casual at the same time. Stripes make for interesting featuresand help to dress up a dull corner.

Get your stripes:

When encountering a small space, use stripes lengthwise in the form of table runners to create an elongated look. By doing this on long/square tables, yourspace will look much bigger than it actually is.

Use stripes in various colours and sizes when looking for the element of fun, this works exceptionally well for a pre-wedding pick nick invitation etc.

Stripes make for eye-catching detail. Dress up the dreary chair in the corner with a striped cushion or the lounge area of the reception in striped throws in yourdesired wedding colour.

When adorning yourself in stripes, remember that a vertical line is so much more flattering than a horizontal one!

It also makes for interesting garnish, eats and treats around your wedding cake. Not many people can resist a striped candy sweet incorporated in your dessertbuffet!

Enjoy!

Ruan & Deirdr – 2 October 2010

Ruan and I met at work in January 2008. By the end of February I was already head over heels in love, even though I knew that Ruan would be moving toCanada soon....

Luckily Cupid worked his magic and Canada was quickly cancelled!

December 2009, Ruan proposed - true movie style, by taking me on a surprise trip to Zanzibar! There, one morning with the sun rising over Zanzibar shores,He proposed to me on the beach.

The search began for the ideal venue and Tramonto was an easy choice! What a pleasure working with the Tramonto team on our dream day! Their excitementand enthusiasm was wonderful, our big day was special to them too!

We decided to make the most of the occasion by having...A WEDDING WEEKEND! The wedding party and closest family stayed at Tramonto’s guesthouse forthe weekend, the other guests in nearby guesthouses.

Friday night a spitbraai was held at the Cellar for 90 guests, a perfect opportunity for new family to get to know each other and for us to get to spend a bit oftime with all the guests.

Saturday morning began with a feeling of anticipation in the air...Today was the day! We all had a wonderful time getting ready at the guesthouse (the studio).Hair and make-up was done professionally for the bride, bridesmaids and mothers of the bride and groom. Every need catered to, from sparkling wine toplatters...

Everything was exciting, but never rushed, everything taken care of by the Tramonto team.

I felt like a princess, arriving at the chapel in the carriage, decorated with Lavender, drawn by a beautiful stallion with plum feathers in its mane!

Walking into the chapel with my dad was overwhelming: All the people you love around you and watching as you walk down the aisle, towards the man of yourdreams...

The chapel looked beautiful and our surprise was even bigger when we entered The Venue- Breathtaking! Drapes, fairy lights, amazing flowers, fires burning inthe fireplaces.

We were ecstatic and so were the guests, who all danced the night away with us until 3am!
