The Autodesk ArtCAM Premium course covers the generation of 3D models and toolpaths including:
•Generation and editing of vectors, applying 3D shapes to vectors
•Editing reliefs by smoothing and sculpting•Toolpath creation and simulation
This course is designed for new customers to learn Autodesk ArtCAM Standard and includes:
•Generation and editing of vectors•Machining of vectors in 2.5d, 3d machining
for reliefs•V-bit machining and vector nesting for
machining
This basic course is for the inspector to learn how to use Autodesk PowerINSPECT and includes:
•Taking points from a model•Generating inspection reports•Capturing simple measurements from model•Use of multiple alignments
A modular course structure covers the full range of Autodesk FeatureCAM applications, including:
•2.5D and 3D milling •Turning•Turn/Mill•Wire EDM•5 Axis

•Tombstone Fixture•Swiss Turning
Autodesk has a dedicated Training Centre where the latest software is taught in a quiet, comfortable environment. All courses include training materials, refreshments and lunch in our own restaurant. As well as providing the standard courses shown, we also provide on-site or specialised training and we can book your accommodation. To arrange this, call the Training Centre on 0121 683 1050.
To book a course please contact Jane Porter on 0121 683 1050 or email [email protected]
This course covers the basics of 3D modelling up to preparing the model for manufacture and includes:
•Wireframe generation, creating and editing basic primitive surfaces
•Solid Modelling and direct modelling.•Generating complex fillets, fixing imported
models•Export models as Parasolid format•Split models into cavity and core pieces for
tooling
Reverse EngineeringThis course covers advanced Autodesk PowerSHAPE design techniques and modelling for manufacture and reverse engineering.
•Wrap triangles directly onto solids and surfaces to create highly detailed or decorated parts
• Interactively sculpt and smooth triangles to clean up scanned data, add or remove features
•Using powerful morphing tools to modify parts rapidly and simply
•Treat triangles as if they were solids for complex modelling operations
•Quickly and accurately create shrink-wrapped surfaces from meshes or scanned data
Update The course covers modelling methods using CAD:
•Focusing on the new functionality in Autodesk PowerSHAPE
•Covering areas reported regularly to the helpdesk
ToolmakerPrerequisite: Autodesk PowerSHAPE The Autodesk Toolmaker course shows the Autodesk toolmaker user how to generate a complete mould tool and includes:
•Preparing solid models and moulds from catalogues
•Generating slides and cores and complex shutout surfaces
This course shows the new user how to create efficient toolpaths using the advanced features of Autodesk PowerMILL, including:
•Generating roughing and rest roughing toolpaths using stock models
•Advanced 3D finishing strategies•Use of user defined tools •Billet options for more efficient toolpaths•Toolholder collision checking
This course introduces the user to the full range of Autodesk PartMaker functionality, including:
• BasicTurning
• Mill-Turn
• Simulation
UpdateThe course covers manufacturing methods using CAM:
•Focusing on new functionality in Autodesk PowerMILL
•Covering areas reported regularly to the helpdesk
Drafting•This drafting course will enable the
Autodesk PowerSHAPE user to generate drawings from the 3D model and includes:
•Generating views from the model, including sectional views
•Dimensioning and labelling the views•Advance split line techniques for modelling/
drafting users
5 Axis Prerequisite: Autodesk PowerMILL Course
The 5-Axis course is designed to show an Autodesk PowerMILL user how to generate toolpaths for 5-Axis machine tools and includes:
•4th axis and 3 + 2 machining•5-axis techniques and toolpath simulation
Tailored coursesAutodesk also provide tailored training courses to meet your requirements. Please call to discuss details.
