Summary

RDIAS organized an industrial visit for the students of MBA III, to familiarize them with

the process and functioning of a manufacturing plant.

25 students were accompanied by two faculty members. The facilitator showed around

the students and informed them about functioning of plant. The students were shown

the process of procurement of raw materials to the production of actual product. The

facilitator emphasized on the strict adherence to quality standards during the entire

process. The students were shown a new and an ultra modern R&D facility, equipped

with the latest technology to ensure quality and fast manufacturing process. Students

were shown the basic raw material used for manufacturing of the sanitary wares and

detailed production process.

The visit helped the students to understand the practical implementation of

management concepts related to production , quality control and supply chain

management within a manufacturing plant. The overall visit was really a value adding

learning experience both for students and the faculty members.
