Among them will be local startup, TRAIL (Technology Resources and Internet Literacy), who will showcase its flagship platform, JobScout, in both English and Spanish, the later of which is being released concurrently with the conference, as well as the company's newly released Android app to correspond with its existing iOS counterpart. Having found initial funding success for JobScout from a 2012/2013 federal Library Services and Technology Act Grant, which the State Library administers in California, TRAIL spent the last year implementing JobScout in libraries and community organizations throughout the state, redefining and improving the platform infrastructure, as well as adding new resources and tools. Most anticipated, is the release of the company’s first bilingual platform, JobScout en Español, which offers unmatched resources to the job-seeking Latino community, followed closely by the release of its Android app. The latter will also be released in Spanish as well as a Spanish iOS application. Features for JobScout en Español include: All resources and tools featured on the English version; Additional lessons directed specifically toward Spanish speakers; Supplementary job listing resources dedicated solely to the Latino community; and

SF Startup Steps into the Limelight During the Largest Tech Conference of the Year

Highlighting Education, Bilingual Platforms and a Pair of Apps San Francisco, CA – With the spotlight shining on the tech industry over the next few days, thousands of guests, speakers, media, bloggers, venture capitalists and entrepreneurs will make their way into San Francisco's Design Center for the TechCrunch Disrupt conference.
