BLUEGRASS WORSHIP

It’s that time again! On Sunday, April 23, the Contemporary Worship Team and special guests will be offering bluegrass music in the early services. Grab a friend and come prepared to clap your hands, tap your feet, and sing some of our favorites hymns and songs from Camp Meeting in a spirit of praise and thanksgiving. Yeehaw!

EASTER EGG HUNT

Our Easter Egg Hunt will be Saturday, April 15, at 11:00am at the home of Sally & Robert Sullivan, 510 Spring Lake Road.  This is for all children age 2-6th grade.  Parents, please bring a 1 to 2 dozen filled plastic eggs to the Church Office for each child participating by Thursday, April 13.

THOMASVILLE’S GOT TALENT

Mark your calendars and plan to join us on Friday, April 21 at 6pm for a great night of entertainment and an auction, all for a great cause.   Once again this year we have searched our community to come up with some of the best talent Thomasville has to offer:  musicians, performers and more. We'll also have both a live and a silent auction, featuring all kinds of great offerings like beach vacations, fishing trips, art, and lots of goodies from local merchants. All proceeds will benefit the 2017 Rwanda Mission team as they serve the people of Rwanda this summer.  Admission is free.  Doors open early at 5:30 for silent auction bidding. Food and drinks will be available to purchase, so plan on eating with us, too.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS

If you’re attending college in the fall and would like to apply for a TFUMC Scholarship, applications are available on our church website and in the Church Office. All applications must be turned in by 12:00pm on Friday, April 21st. Scholarships will be awarded on Sunday, May 7th.

KEENAGER KORNERGreat News! LOW COUNTRY BOIL RETURNS!  Gary and Penny Blair have volunteered to prepare  a Low Country Boil, under the guidance of Leon and Dena.  The Date is Tuesday, May 9 at 5:30, at the Shriners' Club House on 19 South.  The Cost is $10 a person and reservations must be paid by May 3, in the Church Office. Volunteers will be needed for preparations,so sign up with the Blairs.

AN EASTER TRADITION - FLOWER CROSSDon't forget to bring blooms from your yard to decorate the ivy-covered cross on our campus.  This has become a great place to take Easter family photos!

CHILDREN OF THE WORLD CHOIR

We have an exciting opportunity in May!  The Children of the World Choir will be in our area and will sing for our church.  This special choir is composed of thirteen children from the countries of Uganda, Honduras, Nepal, and the Philippines, and they come to us from just a handful of the children homes supported by WorldHelp. We need housing for this group for two nights--Tuesday, May 16 and Wednesday May 17.  If you would be willing to help, please contact Laurie Gunter ([email protected]) or Chris Goff ([email protected]) as soon as possible so we can make arrangements.

IT’S A GIRL

Congratulations to Corey and Jessica Lewis on the birth of their daughter, Sara Elizabeth Lewis.
