Adding an event

• Add an event of type ‘Telephone Call’ on any date in June to the client you created

• Use yourself as the staff member if possible

• Outcome is ‘No further action’

• Don’t Save it yet!

• Add some text to the dialogue box

• Add the keyword ‘reminder’ and a keyword of your own choice, separated by a comma

• Save the record

• Add another dialogue to the same record, adding some information

Hands On ExercisesScenario 1

• A new client tests positive for opiates on 1 July at 21:00 at CS, WN/1267/08, following arrest for Burglary. The test isn’t disputed.• Start a required assessment caseload and book in an RA for 4 July, 13:30 at CS• Client attends the 4 July RA and is given an appointment for a further assessment on 8 July, 12:00 at CAN in Northampton• Client rings an asks to move the FRA to the next day due to a family funeral and you agree to move it to 9 July, 11:00 at CAN in Northampton• Client attends the 9 July assessment• Client appears at Northampton Magistrates on 10 July in respect of the burglary. The client receives a 6 month custodial sentence.

• A new client tests positive for cocaine on 30 June at 14:00 at WF, WS/998/08, following arrest for Violence Against the Person. The test isn’t disputed.• The client has an RA the same day and the drug worker decides not to have a further assessment• Client appears at Northampton Magistrates on 4 July in respect of the offence and is given ROB• The ROB appointment is set for 9 July, 4.30pm at CAN, Derngate• The client fails to attend and doesn’t answer the mobile number they have given.• The drug worker decides to breach the client and completes the witness statement
