Whenever a popular model changes its design automakers go to great lengths to explain to customers what has changed and why. Toyota’s

new 2015 Camry changes in very important ways from the prior model, which is being sold now as a 2014.5 model year car. In order to make it easy to understand how the Camry changes, Toyota created a short 30-second video that makes it all pretty obvious.

2015 Toyota Camry Changes

The Camry will not only have an all-new look, it changes mechanically as well. In addition the interior is all-new and more up-scale. The exterior look will now be familiar to those who know and love the current Avalon and Corolla looks. Both those cars saw sales improvements after they were restyled. However, the Camry also gets a new track (meaning it has a wider stance) and is 2 inches longer in length. These are changes that will be felt behind the wheel. The engine offerings are the same. 4-cylinder, V6, and hybrid options carry on.

New Camry Trim Calles XSE

One of the most important changes is that the popular SE trim has been mated to the XLE luxury trim creating a thoroughbred now called XSE. Make sure you put those letters in the correct order. With the optional 268 hp V6 this will be the ultimate Camry. It will be capable of 0-60 MPH in the mid- 6-second range and will be faster than the base BMW 320i. Fully optioned with Leather, Nav, and pretty much every safety advancement available in the industry this ultimate Camry will cost buyers about $36K. Base Camrys will continue to sell in the $21K range. New 2015 models are arriving at dealers now. •

Lend a Hand to Protect Public LandsOver 4,000 Toyota Employees Join Forces with 175,000 volunteers at 42 U.S. Sites

TORRANCE, Calif. (Sept. 17, 2014) – Parks (and other public lands) do their part. They provide a safe place for native flora and

fauna. They help keep air and water clean. They provide a laboratory for environmental learning. So the time has come: ask not what your park can do for you but what you can do for your park.

The answer? Participate in National Public Lands Day (NPLD) on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014.

From small urban pocket parks and school yards to majestic destinations parks around the country, volunteers will plant trees, build trails, remove invasive plants and litter, replace signs and otherwise beautify the nation’s public lands.

For the sixteenth consecutive year, Toyota team members will be doing exactly that this fall. Over 4,000 Toyota employees and their families will volunteer at 42 different public land areas in 17 states and Puerto Rico.

Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. (TMS) signed on as national corporate sponsor of the event in 1999. Since then, 32,665 Toyota employees have volunteered at 427 sites. They’ve:

• Removed 192,150 pounds of trash and 4,270 pounds of invasive vegetation

• Built/maintained 282 miles of trails • Planted 21,350 trees, shrubs and other vegetation

“Toyota’s commitment to public lands and to NPLD continues to grow,” said Diane Wood, president of the National Environmental Education Foundation. “Each year, their passion for the program and for finding new ways to give back to their own communities through this special day has surpassed our expectations. They are a true partner.”

“This unique sponsorship supports Toyota’s global commitment to environmental stewardship by providing our employees with meaningful volunteer opportunities to help improve public lands in their local communities,” said Michael Rouse, TMS vice president of diversity, philanthropy and community affairs.

One third of America’s land is in public hands. Want to lend your hand to this cause? Sign up at: http://www.publiclandsday.org.

Three Top-10 Results For Three Camry Drivers In ChaseKyle Collects Third in Nationwide Series, Wins Truck Race

All three Camry drivers that are competing in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) championship registered top-10 finishes in the first of the

10 race playoff which took place at Chicagoland Speedway on Sunday. In a pair of races on Saturday at the Illinois oval, Kyle Busch was the first driver to the finish line in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race and he captured the checkered flag in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) event.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS)

In Sunday afternoon’s NSCS race at Chicagoland Speedway, Camry drivers Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch and Matt Kenseth -- the three Toyota drivers competing for the series title -- all registered top-10 results. Hamlin crossed the finish line in sixth-place, followed by his two JGR teammates -- Busch (seventh) and Kenseth (10th). Brad Keselowski crossed the finish line first, followed by Jeff Gordon (second) and Kyle Larson (third).

Hamlin started 24th in the Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) No. 11 FedEx Office Camry and worked his way up to fifth-place -- before the final caution flag of the race.

“It was a pretty good run with our FedEx Office Camry,” said Hamlin, following the race. “We just got off there in the middle part of the race and fell back. We just strategically worked our way to the front. Got a little bit better as the race went on and cautions really hurt us there at the end. We were in the lead pack battle and it put us on the bottom line -- which really hurt us those last couple restarts. Either way, it’s still what we needed to do. It’s a very solid run. We needed to keep this car in one piece. So, we’ll move on and go to Loudon (N.H.) where we know we got a chance to win.”

Busch started from the pole in the JGR No. 18 M&M’s Camry and was strong during the early parts of the 267 lap race. He led the field twice for a total of 46 laps -- in the first 100 circuits of the race.

“The race started out really good,” said Busch, after the race. “Our M&M’s Camry was fast early -- especially on the green race track. The more the day went, the rubber got down and the farther back we got in traffic -- and we kept getting hurt by each situation. We have to make better adjustments. I feel like we are kind of getting ourselves off-base sometimes during the race, but we always seem to rally back -- but the rally back is always too late. Overall, good job by the guys to end up seventh.”

Kenseth was the third JGR driver to record a top-10.

“We just weren’t very good today,” said Kenseth, after the race. “We were okay in the middle of the race -- and early middle (of the race). We were just fighting being loose and could make some progress in the long runs. We just got too tight and were slow on short runs -- and long runs kind of. It was just a struggle. We showed a lot of speed most of the weekend, but just could never get it today where I wanted it to be.”

Other Camry drivers in the field included Brian Vickers (24th), Cole Whitt (30th), Alex Bowman (35th),

Joe Nemechek (36th), Clint Bowyer (39th) and Ryan Truex (42nd).

Four drivers will be eliminated from the Chase playoffs after the next two races at New Hampshire and Dover. Brad Keselowski has advanced to the next round of the playoffs with his Chicagoland win. The drivers that win in New Hampshire and Dover will also advance, as will the nine other drivers with the most points. The Sprint Cup Series returns to action next weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Sept. 21 as the ‘Challenger’ round of the Chase continues next week.

NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS)

Busch was the first Toyota driver to the finish line in Saturday afternoon’s NNS race at Chicagoland Speedway. He followed

race-winner Kevin Harvick and runner-up Kyle Larson to the checkered flag.

Busch dominated much of the first three-quarters of the race in his JGR No. 54 Monster Energy Camry. The Las Vegas-native led the field six times for a race-high 141 laps (of 200). However, during a late race pit stop, Busch and his team decided to take four new tires, when other teams didn’t change tires or only took two tires. That decision moved Busch to the middle of the field, but he was able to work his way into the top-three -- although he was never able to catch Harvick or Larson.

“I had a really fast car and I know we needed to come down to get tires, but obviously four (tires) was the wrong call and put us back,” said Busch, after the race. “I fought my butt off there for the last run of the race and could only get to third. Anytime the second-place car got in front of me, all I did was knock the wall down because of aero issues. It stinks not be in victory lane where we should be. This Monster Energy Camry was fast today and deserved to win -- but just couldn’t get through traffic.”

Camry driver Elliott Sadler (sixth) also earned a top-10 finish at Chicagoland. In just his second career NNS start, Daniel Suarez registered a 15th-place result in a RAB Racing Camry.

Sadler is currently fourth in the unofficial NNS point standings -- 51 points behind leader Chase Elliott. Camry driver James Buescher (10th) is also in the top-10 in the standings.

The NASCAR Nationwide Series returns to action next weekend at Kentucky Speedway, Sept. 20.

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS)

Tundra driver Busch captured the checkered flag in Saturday evening’s rain-delayed NCWTS race at Chicagoland Speedway, crossing the finish line ahead race runner-up -- and fellow Tundra driver -- Matt Crafton (second).

Busch started from the rear of the 32 truck field after missing practice on Thursday to participate in NASCAR activities related to the Sprint Cup Series Chase. Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) driver Erik Jones practiced and setup the No. 51 Dollar General Tundra for Busch.

Busch made quick work of the competition in the 150 lap race and the 1.5-mile oval. By lap 10, he had moved from the rear of the field to 10th.

“I knew we were going to have a fast Tundra tonight,” said Busch, after the race. “The guys have done a really nice job this year. I was trying to pace myself there early. It was a great race for us and this Tundra was awesome. All the guys at KBM (Kyle Busch Motorsports) did a great job for me. The pit crew was great, too. This Dollar General Tundra, what can I say, it was just fast. I can’t wait to see what happens the rest of the year.”

The victory was Busch’s sixth in the NCWTS this season. Earlier this year, Busch picked up wins at Daytona, Kansas, Charlotte, Dover and Kentucky. It’s also the 12th Tundra triumph in 15 races this season.

The 29-year-old driver has now won four of the six NCWTS races at the Ilinois oval. Busch also visited victory lane at the track in 2009, 2010 and 2013.

Crafton’s runner-up result was his eighth top-five finish of the season, and it enabled him to take over the lead in the series point standings.

Tundra drivers Jeb Burton (fifth), Darrell Wallace Jr. (sixth) and Joe Nemechek (ninth) also earned top-10s Saturday night.

Crafton leads the unofficial NCWTS point standings by five points over ThorSport teammate Johnny Sauter. Tundra drivers Wallace (fourth), Quiroga (fifth), Peters (eighth) and Jeb Burton (10th) also rank in the top-10 in the standings.

The next NCWTS race is at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Sept. 20.
