INSTALLATION PREPARATION
Before starting installation
1. Familiarize yourself with the installationinstructions.
2. Inspect kit components (Refer to kitcontents and hardware bag contents).

1. Place protective coverings on vehicle.

REMOVE THE LOWER FINISH PANEL:
1. Remove (1) 10mm bolt and (1) phillips screwfrom the driver's side lower finish panel.
2. Disengage the hood release cable from thehood release latch handle.
3. Carefully pull the lower finish panel outward fromthe vehicle dash to disengage the snap clipsholding it place, then set the panel aside where itwill not be damaged.

PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION
REMOVE THE STEERING WHEEL SHROUD:
1. Remove the (2) phillip screws from the lowersteering column cover.
2. Carefully dislodge the steering column covertabs and remove the lower cover.

INSTALLING PROCEDURES
MOUNTING THE LED/VALET SWITCH:
1. Locate the area show on the backside of the driver's upper dash panel.
2. Carefully drill a 5/16" diameter holein the upper dash panel in locationshown.
3. Remove the knurled mounting nutfrom the back of the switch, pass thewires through the hole, then secure theswitch with the knurled nut.
PREPARING THE LED/VALET SWITCH:
1. Locate the 4 pin Molex connectorfound in the hardware bag included in thekit.
2. Carefully plug the terminals at the endsof the 4 wires from the switch into theconnector housing as shown.
IMPORTANT ! Be sure to align theterminal correctly before inserting it intothe connector housing.

INSTALLING THE SECURITY SYSTEM
MOUNTING SHOCK SENSOR MODULE:
1. Use (2) of the short black cable tiesprovided in the hardware bag, and securethe shock sensor to the main vehicle harnessas shown. Set the sensitivity knob to position2.
IMPORTANT NOTE! Be sure topass the cable ties through theholes in the upper and lowermounting tabs of the shock sensor,then around and securing to themain harness. Failure to do thiscould cause the shock sensor tobecome loose.

MOUNTING THE CONTROL MODULE:
1. Secure the module to the vehicle dash braceas shown, located left of the steering column. Usethe adhesive pad to position module, secure inplace with the long cable ties provided.

INSTALLING THE SECURITY SYSTEM
ROUTING THE MAIN HARNESS:
1. Route the security harness under the steeringcolumn, and to the area where the factory ignitionswitch connectors are located.
2. Route the portion of the harness which includesthe ground ring terminal, behind the driver's JBand down to the kick panel.
3. Secure the main harness along it's routing withthe cable ties provided. Be sure that the harnessis clear of all sharp, hot moving objects.

INSTALLING THE SHOCK SENSORHARNESS:
1. Plug the 5 pin end of the harness into thematting connector on the main controlmodule.
2. Route the harness towards the shocksensor, where it will not interfere with anysharp or moving objects.
3. Secure the harness along the routing pathusing the cable ties provided.
IMPORTANT ! Make sure that the brake pedal, accelerator pedal, andaccelerator pedal linkages are free and clear of all security harnesses.

A. When installing female T - Tap connectors, be sure the wire is located inside the wire channel of thefemale T - Tap connector before closing connector over the wire with pliers ( Figure D ).

OPTION PROGRAMMING
The following features are selectable and can be changed, using the VALET/LED and the factory LOCK buttonlocated on the driver's door panel.
To select a change as you proceed through the feature list, Press the "Lock" button on the passenger's door panelONLY IF YOU WISH TO CHANGE THAT FEATURE. You need not enter a selection for each feature.
Programming each feature can not exceed 15 seconds.
FEATURE PROGRAM PROCEDURE:
STEP 1Starting with the Valet/LED switchin the "Out" position, turn theignition key to the ON position.
STEP 2Press the Valet/LED switch IN then OUT (3) times.
STEP 3Turn the ignition key OFF thenON. The horn should emit (1) short& (1) long chirp followed by (1)short chirp indicating that themodule is in programming modeand at option (1).
** = Default setting
STEP 4Use chart below to determine if a specific feaureshould be turned ON or OFF. To turn options ONand OFF press the "Lock" button located on thepassenger's door panel. The horn will give (1) or (2)chirps and the LED will turn on or off depending onthe setting chosen.
STEP 5To advance to the next option press the Valet/LEDswitch IN and OUT (1) time.
STEP 6To exit the programmingprocedure turn the ignition key tothe OFF position. The horn willgive (1) long chirp indicating thatthe module has exited the optionprogramming mode.

1. Sit in the driver's seat, insert the ignition key andturn to the ON position.
2. Press the valet control switch and verify that theLED light responds. Light should go ON and OFFwith actuation of the valet control switch.
3. With the LED indicator light ON, ignition OFF andkey removed, the security system is in the valetmode and the alarm should not arm. Press the"LOCK" button, the parking lights will flash once,all doors will lock, headlights come on for 20seconds. Press the "UNLOCK" button, the parkinglights will flash twice, driver's door only will unlock,headlights come on for 20 seconds.
4. Ignition key ON, LED light OFF, ignition key OFF.
1. Rearm the security system by pressing the "LOCK"button. Open any door or hatch. The systemshould simultaneously sound the horn and flashthe parking lights.
2. Disarm the security system by pressing the"UNLOCK" button. The system should sound (4)chirps of the horn, the parking lights should flash(4) times, indicating vehicle intrusion.
3. The LED should indicate the point of intrusion afterdisarming the system. Observe the LED for 1, 2,or 3 flashes. Compare your observations to thefollowing.
1. Press the "LOCK" button to arm the system. Usethe key to unlock and open the driver's door. Thealarm will sound. Enter the vehicle, insert theignition key and turn to the on position. Press thevalet control switch once, the alarm shoulddeactivate and the vehicle should now start.
1. Sit in the driver's seat with all the doors closed.Press the "LOCK" button on the driver's door panelto arm the system. Insert the ignition key and turnto the start position. The alarm should disarm andthe vehicle should start. If the alarm starts to soundand the vehicle does not start, refer to OPTIONPROGRAMMING on page 11.
1. Press the "LOCK" button, the system should armand lock all doors.
2. Press the "UNLOCK" button, the system will alsodisarm and unlock the driver's door.
3. Press the "UNLOCK" button a second time andall doors should unlock.

SYSTEM AUTOMATICALLY CLEARS ALLSTORED VIOLATIONS WHEN THE IGNITIONSWITCH IS TURNED TO THE "ON" POSITION.

TESTING ALARM SYSTEM:
B. Test BOTH remote transmitters, one at a time.Press and release the "LOCK" button. If the LEDlight on the transmitters fails to glow, you need tocheck the transmitter battery.
1. Press the "LOCK" button to arm the system. Withthe open palm lightly slap the "A" pillar by the driver'swindshield. You should hear short chirps from thevehicle horn. This is a check of the shock sensor"WARN-AWAY" function. Allow a few seconds forthe shock to settle, then conduct the same checkat various points around the vehicle. Sensitivity canbe adjusted at the shock sensor for best response.
2. Slap the vehicle at the "A" pillar with slightly moreforce. The vehicle should go into full alarm. Pressthe "UNLOCK" button to disarm the system. Rearmthe vehicle and conduct the same check at variouspoints around the vehicle. Adjust sensitivity at theshock sensor for the best response.

5. Press and hold the "RED" button to test the "Panic"function. The alarm should blow the horn in short,continuous blast, parking lights should be flashing.
1. Put all vehicle windows down and close hood andall doors.
2. Press and release the "LOCK" transmitter button.3. All doors should lock, parking lights flash once,
horn chirps once, headlights come on for 20seconds and the LED should flash slowly. (Note:If the parking lights flash three times and the hornchirps three times, check for an open hood ordoor.)
4. Press the "UNLOCK" button, the horn chirps (2)times, parking lights flash (2) times, headlightscome on for 20 seconds, driver's door only unlocks.
D. ARMING/DISARMING & PANIC:
A. RECONNECT THE BATTERY: Connect Negative cable to vehicle battery and torque to 36in. lbs.

TESTING THE SYSTEM:
1. Prior to delivering the vehicle, test all features of the system according to the owner's manual included.
ASSEMBLE ALL REMOVED PANELS TO THE VEHICLE :
1. Refer again to the vehicle repair manual and re assemble all panels that were removed for installationback onto the vehicle.
PREPARING THE VEHICLE FOR DELIVERY:
1. Turn the arm / disarm chirps off.
a. Start with the L.E.D. / Valet switch in the off ( out ) position.b. Turn the ignition key to the on position.c. Turn the ignition key off, then immediately press and release the L.E.D. / Valet switch 3 times. Youwill hear 2 chirps to confirm that the chirps were turned off.
2. Place the system into Valet mode. ( VPC only )
a. Start with the L.E.D. / Valet switch in the off ( out ) position.b. Turn the ignition key to the on position.c. Press the L.E.D. / Valet switch one time. The switch is in the in position, and the red L.E.D. isturned on solid, indicating that the system is in valet mode.
3. Apply the window warning decals to the driverside and passenger side windows, just above theanti - theft radio stickers if equipped. If notequipped, apply the decals at the lower rear edgeof the window. The decals are reverse printed, andare applied to the inside surface of the glass.
4. Leave the KEYLESS ENTRY UPGRADEowner's manual in the vehicle glove box.

After TPMS activa-tion and PDS of the vehicle the TPMS light willilluminate for a few seconds and go off when IGis turned on.
