The Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Magnet Schools attract students who have a desire to achieve greatness and are ready to take the steps to turn that wish into a reality.

The goal of the Townview Library Media Center is to help students reach their capacity to achieve greatness by learning and acquiring knowledge from the wealth of resources offered at the library media center.

Library Policies

o Library Hours: 7:45 am–5:00 pm (Friday until 4:15 pm).

o Students may come to the library before or after school to study, do research, check out books, or for reading a favorite book. Students must be wearing their ID Badge.

o Students who are inside the library by 4:30 pm will be eligible to receive a bus pass.

o Students must have a library pass signed by a teacher or library staff when visiting the library during class time.

o Refrain from bringing food, beverages, or chewing gum.

o Refrain from marking on furniture & books in the library.

Expected Etiquette

o Enter & exit the library quietly in respect for others who are reading and working.

o Be seated 2 to 4 students per table.

o Work quietly using your inside voice.

o Do not lean back on chairs.

o Place unwanted paper and litter in the waste basket.

They are shelved by the subject Call Numbers.

Computer Usage Policy

• The library adheres to the DISD’s acceptable use policy

• Computers and the Internet are to be used for educational puposes.

• Visiting chat rooms such as Twitter, games, iTunes, Tumblr is not allowed

• Changing the program settings or screen savers is not permitted

Printing

All printing will be charged 10¢ per page. Students who are in the library as part of a scheduled class will be allowed to print the first 5 pages for free.
