Come out and enjoy live music from the Fernglen Fiddleheads, BBQ, Cake, Popcorn and even a Magic Show for the kids! BBQ starts serving: 11:30 am Music on the Barge with the Fernglen Fiddleheads: 11:30 am Official Ceremony and Cake Cutting: 12:00 pm Magic Show: 1:00 pm For more information contact the Recreation, Arts and Culture Department at 705.687.6774. CELEBRATE CANADA WITH US! Help us kick off our Summer Reading Program for kids on Monday July 4 with a Summer Luau from 1 to 3 pm ! Check out our new programs including Minecraft on Mondays, Let’s Play…on Tuesdays, Reading Buddies on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the Discovery Series on Fridays. Returning programs include Mad Scientists, Primary and Junior Book Clubs, Lego Club, and Painting Pals. Check out our website or visit the Library to pick up your copy of our July and August calendars for all of our children’s activities. Pre-registration is required for some programs. Children’s Storytime – Tuesdays at 10:15 am. Bring your little ones every Tuesday morning for story time, sing-alongs and crafts. Children’s Drop-in Storytime at the Gravenhurst Farmer’s Market on Wednesdays from 9 am to 1:30 pm – Join Jennifer and Emily for great stories, songs and creative activities. As this summer’s incredible Muskoka experience gets into high swing, can we encourage you to: - Make sure all exits are clearly marked and unobstructed - Check that your staff are properly trained in emergency proce- dures including how to call for help, how to use fire extinguish- ers and how to safely and efficiently evacuate the building in a fire emergency - Make sure that all fire protection equipment (fire extinguish- ers) and systems (i.e. alarms) are serviced and fully functional - Avoid common fire hazards such as overloaded electrical circuts, careless smoking, and misuse of flammable liquids and propane - Ensure that smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are properly installed and maintained if you offer sleeping accommodations of any sort.
