from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. Come out and enjoy live music from the Fernglen Fiddleheads, BBQ, Cake, Popcorn and even

a Magic Show for the kids!

CELEBRATE CANADA WITH US!

Help us kick off our Summer Reading Program for kids on Monday July 4 with a Summer Luau from 1 to 3 pm !

Check out our new programs including Minecraft on Mondays, Let’s Play…on Tuesdays, Reading Buddies on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the Discovery Series on Fridays. Returning programs include Mad Scientists, Primary and Junior Book Clubs, Lego Club, and Painting Pals. Check out our website or visit the Library to pick up your copy of our July and August calendars for all of our children’s activities. Pre-registration is required for some programs.

We know you are as committed as we are to making sure that everyone who works, lives and plays in Gravenhurst experienc-es a safe and enjoyable summer. As this summer’s incredible Muskoka experience gets into high swing, can we encourage you to:

- Make sure all exits are clearly marked and unobstructed- Check that your staff are properly trained in emergency proce-dures including how to call for help, how to use fire extinguish-ers and how to safely and efficiently evacuate the building in a fire emergency- Make sure that all fire protection equipment (fire extinguish-ers) and systems (i.e. alarms) are serviced and fully functional- Avoid common fire hazards such as overloaded electrical circuts, careless smoking, and misuse of flammable liquids and propane- Ensure that smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are properly installed and maintained if you offer sleeping accommodations of any sort.

Do you know someone who has beautiful gardens on their property? The Town of Gravenhurst, Communities In Bloom and the Gravenhurst Horticultural Society would like to reward these property owners for enhancing their yards and making our community a more beautiful place to live!

Help us give well-earned recognition to these gardeners by nominating a local property for a Daisy Award. Nomination forms can be picked up at Town Office or the Centennial Centre. You may also submit Online at www.gravenhurst.ca/daisy.

Nominate yourself, your neighbour, friend, a local business or group, any garden you happen to like! All that is required is a name and street address.

** New this Year: Nominate a garden that is primarily planted and tended to by local youth(s) for a special category and recognition.

Nominations will be accepted until Friday, July 15th .

Judging will take place on July 20th, awards will be presented at ‘Music on the Barge’ on August 7th.
