TCMPS Summer Fun Camp, held for 8 weeks during July and Au-

gust, is the perfect place for your child during the summer

months. The camp offers flexible hours, partial month programs

and the right mix of summer activities and academics! The Sum-

mer Fun Camp is taught by our own teachers that you know and

trust.

We would like to thank all of our parents and guardians who registered early, re-

serving a place for the 2014-2015 school year and ensuring that their child will be

placed with their classmates for the upcoming school year. Parents and guardians

paying in monthly installments can still take advantage of the following special of-

fers. Register by April 1st and receive a $100 discount off the June 2015

payment. For our graduating pre-school students, the transition to grade 1

marks the first time students must wear a school uniform. As mentioned earlier in

our registration package the school has arranged with Halpern’s, our official

school uniform supplier, to provide parents and guardians a $200 coupon towards

the purchase of their first school uniform. This special offer is available only

if you register before April 1st.

International Day On International Day, Friday, March 7th we will celebrate the wonderful multi-

culturalism that we enjoy as Canadians. All students are encouraged to dress in

outfits representing their ethnic background, or country or region of origin.

As part of the celebrations, parents and guardians are invited to provide a food

item representing their ethnic background, or country of origin. Please include

a complete ingredient list for all food brought to school for International Day

celebrations. More information to follow shortly.

Many Faces of Markham We are proud to have our students and staff associated with the Many Faces of Markham competition

which celebrates Markham’s cultural diversity. This annual event, sponsored by the Town of Markham

and the Markham Race Relations Advisory Committee, is a poster, writing, and video competition.

Winners in each category will be recognized during the Many Faces of Markham event at the Mark-

ham Theatre. All winners will be invited on stage to receive a certificate of recognition for their

achievement on the afternoon of Sunday, March 16th.

March Break TCMPS reminds all families that the school will be closed for the March Break

holidays from Monday, March 10th to Friday, March 14th. We hope you and

your family have a safe and relaxing March Break. Classes will resume at their

regular hours on Monday, March 17th.

Parent Teacher Interview Days Milliken Campus — Tuesday, March 25th

Amarillo Campus — Wednesday, March 26th

The 2nd term of this school year is nearing completion, culminating with the

report card distribution and Parent Teacher Interviews. On Friday, March

21st report cards will be sent home for students attending the Milliken Cam-

pus and Parent Teacher Interviews will be held on Tuesday, March 25th.

Students attending the Amarillo Campus will take their report cards home on Monday, March 24th and

the interviews are scheduled for Wednesday, March 26th. As always sign up sheets will be posted on your

child’s classroom door starting on Wednesday, March 5th. Please remember to sign up for interviews with

your class teacher as well as subject teachers. Sign up sheets for the subject teachers will be posted in the

main hallways. No regular classes are held on Parent Teacher Interview days.

Earth Hour

This year, Earth Hour is being observed on Saturday, March 29, 2014

between 8:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. However, at TCMPS Earth Hour will be

observed on Friday, March 28th from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The stu-

dents will enjoy the experience of having the hallway lights turned off.

They will be made aware of the importance of conserving energy and

saving the environment.

The students had a wonderful time playing games with their fellow students on Olympic Sports Day! The Sports Day was coordinated by Mr. Jay Stenzler, our Sports With Jay instruc-tor. They enjoyed all the activities especially curling, hockey, ski jump and relay races. After the sports activities all the students were treated to a delicious hot chocolate!
