Tourism in Iquitos

DISADVANTAGE

- In Iquitos, many times, Tourism takes place in the nature, producing some preocupations, because, it could contribute great advantages in the social-economics , and cultural areas, but at the same time, contributes to the gradual deterioration in the environment and the loss of the local identity.

SOLUTION

- Therefore , its recommendable that touristic development should be based in criterions of sustainability, that is, tourism should be bearable ecologically in a long time, economically viable and equitable in an ethic and social perspective to the local communities .

DISADVANTAGE

-The use of natural spaces could produce deterioration in this places, probably causing (in a medium or long time) the failure of this turistic places that permit this situation , because the tourist is who pollute, pillage in a major or minor grade, according to his culture or origin.

ADVANTAGE:

-Sustainable tourism is a model of economic development to improve the quality of life of the host community, facilitate to the visitant an experience of great quality and maintain the environment, which depend both visitants and hosts.

DISADVANTAGE:

Tourism could affect in a negative form the biologic diversity, natural resources s, and have social and cultural unfavorable impacts.

-Deterioration of natural resources, both renewables and not renewable is a direct and significant consecuenceof the impact of the tourism. Iquitos has fragile ecosystems with many species, which intensive use could produce an irreversible loss
