2009-2010 Teams

Trip costs for the teams include round-trip airfare, lodging (double room occupancy), meals, local transportation, interpreters and incidental land costs. Airfares are based on 2008 figures and are subject to change at any time. Applications (with deposit, which will be deducted from the total cost of the trip) should be sent in as soon as possible to ensure a spot on the team.

MARCH 2009 March 19 – 30, 2009 Turkey This team will attend the Arab women’s ministry conference with participants from 18 Arab nations. We will also visit nearby early church sites with local leaders to gain better understanding of what God has done and is doing in this region.

APRIL POSTPONED Until later-dates to come Burundi/Kenya This team will minister to genocide and AIDS’ widows and orphans in the cities of Bujumbura and Nairobi. We will be encouraging the women and participating in micro-enterprise projects to help them become self-supporting. We will also be ministering to the women leaders in these countries. This team will be working with our partner in Addis Ababa in the Life Empowerment Program for young women. The team will also visit Entoto AIDS Project and learn more about the challenges in the nation and how God is working there. There will also be sightseeing and a one-day trip to see other projects outside the city.

This team will work with the Hope Center camp for orphaned and behaviorally-challenged children in a typical summer camp, five minutes from the Black Sea. Daily camp activities with the children will include any/all of the following: team sports, swimming, nature walks/hikes, Bible studies/daily devotions, age-appropriate crafts, group meals, music, singing, drama, cultural dancing, evening bonfires and friendly team competitions. There will also be sightseeing in Crimea and Kiev.

June 11 – 25, 2009 Children’s Camp - India

This team will be conducting a summer Bible camp for poverty-stricken kids from some of India’s most disadvantaged areas, including Kolkata, Delhi and Motipur. The camp is situated north of beautiful DehraDun, in the hills 140 miles north of Delhi. We will be joining hands with a team of Indian Global Action staff. Daily camp activities with the children will include any/all of the following: team sports, nature walks/hikes, Bible studies/daily devotions, age-appropriate crafts, group meals, music, singing, drama, cultural dancing, evening bonfires, friendly team competitions, etc.

This team will take part in a summer camp for children outside the city of Chisinau, as well as serve as an encouragement to local believers who work under extremely difficult conditions. Most of these children come from poverty-stricken homes, broken families and are in need of a lot of tender love and care. Daily camp activities with the children will include any/all of the following: team sports, nature walks/hikes, Bible studies/daily devotions, age-appropriate crafts, group meals, music, singing, drama, cultural dancing, evening bonfires and friendly team competitions.

We will also meet with key leaders in San Salvador to learn about various ministry outreaches and participate in prayer ministry.
