DESCRIPTION

The Sertus Total Quality System is an integrated system of principles, methods, and best practice that serves as a backbone for what we do ensure quality and excellence in all our activities. It is based on Total Quality Management concepts, beginning and ending with our customer, and is loosely structured around ISO-9001 practices. We recognize that customers will only be satisfied if they consistently receive products and services that meet their needs, are delivered on time, and are priced for value. We apply process management methodologies to develop cost-controlled processes that are consistent in delivering results that not only satisfy but exceed expectations.

What is the Sertus Total Quality System?

The Sertus Total Quality System is an integrated system of principles, methods, and best practice that serves as a backbone for what we do ensure quality and excellence in all our activities. It is based on Total Quality Management concepts, beginning and ending with our customer, and is loosely structured around ISO-9001 practices. We recognize that customers will only be satisfied if they consistently receive products and services that meet their needs, are delivered on time, and are priced for value. We apply process management methodologies to develop cost-controlled processes that are consistent in delivering results that not only satisfy but exceed expectations. At Sertus, we also understand that what is considered exceptional performance today may be widely thought to be unacceptable performance tomorrow. To this end, all Sertus team members are constantly seeking process improvements to achieve both breakthrough gains and incremental continuous improvement to our System. Total Quality System – Pressure Points We apply the same virtuous reinforcing system to quality assurance and quality control for product sold by Sertus or under agency contract for QA/QC services. Our commitment to these principles is what has made Sertus one of the preferred vendors of big box retail and manufacturers across the globe. The Sertus Total Quality System begins with a rigorous needs assessment. This information gathering process, which we fashion after a five purpose analysis (why, who, how, what and when), helps us define a baseline from which to launch our planning and process initiatives. An application of experience and our formalized processes (amended and adapted to real client needs) to the identified product or service solution is where Sertus adds unique value to our customers. We overlay our proprietary processes to both the product and supplier data to ensure total quality and reliable delivery. There are certain identifiable pressure points that we utilize to control

quality and meet our client’s expectations (see Figure 2: Total Quality System – Pressure Points). The goal is to ensure that all product specs as required by the client are captured in our internal processes and communicated to suppliers so as to ultimately facilitate accurate and problem free deliveries. Sertus Audit and Selection processes determine whether factories are adequately prepared to manufacture according to required specifications, lead times, packaging needs, and any other critical feature that may be integral to the purchase order. Sertus manages a comprehensive procurement process, signing legally enforceable contracts with approved suppliers. Inspection schedules are defined and agreed and Packing Guides are provided to detail needs/requests. Sertus also offers many services that are not supplier or product specific and that enhance the overall quality assurances of our client’s orders.
