The current version is 7.34 and for this document the IP method is used vs. AirPrint to connect. 1. Due to the uniqueness of the Apple OS updates it is recommended to delete previous version drivers prior to the upgrade. Though, if the MAC OS has already been updated to Yosemite; then delete any previous Toshiba printers now. 1. System Preferences – Printers & Scanners – Highlight any Toshiba Printers (one at a time) and click the – (minus) sign. 2. Close screens when done. 2. Download the driver of choice from www.business.toshiba.com 1. The Mac OSX 10.7 and later, Single Sided Color is used for this document. 2. Look for the Drivers Icon, and then type in the model number in the large white box. 3. Click on the RED GZ for the driver you want to download. 3. Locate the downloaded GZ file and launch, this will create a DMG file. Launch this and run. You may “eject” the Toshiba ColorMFP DMG when done. Driver files are now installed.

MAC OS 10.9.5 – Yosemite

This document is a pictorial guide and overview for the Toshiba MAC OS printer driver. The current version is 7.34 and for this document the IP method is used vs. AirPrint to connect. 1. Due to the uniqueness of the Apple OS updates it is recommended to delete previous version drivers

prior to the upgrade. Though, if the MAC OS has already been updated to Yosemite; then delete any previous Toshiba printers now.

1. System Preferences – Printers & Scanners – Highlight any Toshiba Printers (one at a time) and click the – (minus) sign.

2. Close screens when done.

2. Download the driver of choice from www.business.toshiba.com 1. The Mac OSX 10.7 and later, Single Sided Color is used for this document. 2. Look for the Drivers Icon, and then type in the model number in the large white box. 3. Click on the RED GZ for the driver you want to download.

3. Locate the downloaded GZ file and launch, this will create a DMG file. Launch this and run. You may “eject” the Toshiba ColorMFP DMG when done. Driver files are now installed.

4. Obtain the TCP/IP address of the MFP for which the printer driver is to be installed.

5. Launch System Preferences – Printers & Scanners.

6. The Printers & Scanners menu opens. 1. Click the + sign, and notice the lower left corner that shows Nearby Printers; this is using

AirPrint to automatically discover the MFP on the network for a quick connection path. 2. DO NOT use this method to connect; the IP method is preferred and suggested.

7. Printers & Scanners Menu – Driver install using the TCP/IP address. 1. Click + sign, click Add Printer or Scanner

8. Click IP icon, and then type in the TCP/IP address of the MFP in the ADDRESS box.

1. Address = IP 2. Protocol = LPD 3. Queue = Leave Blank

4. Name = Type in a unique name. 5. Location = Type in a descriptive

location name/label. 6. USE = actual printer driver or

PPD that will be used.

9. Add menu filled in. 1. Important to select the Toshiba-X7 USA from the pull down.

2. Click ADD when ready.

10. After clicking ADD, the Model selection menu opens.

1. Use these pull down menus to select the model and options that match your MFP configuration.

2. Click OK.

11. Driver installation now complete. 1. Confirm the Driver version by clicking the OPTIONS & SUPPLIES icon, then the GENERAL tab.

12. Click the UTILITY tab from above, and select Print Test Page. Sample shown below. 1. You may now exit from System Preferences.

Toshiba e-BRIDGE MAC Driver Option Menus Color Settings 1: Advanced Color Settings Menu NOTE: Advanced Users

Advanced Color Settings Menu: • Source Profiles: Rarely used.

Defines the Monitor or Scanner ICC profiles.

• Destination Profiles: Use to select ICC profiles installed on the MFP. Default ICC shown. It is not standard to have additional ICC profiles installed. These must be created and installed to the MFP using Top Access.

• Rendering Intent: Perceptual is the default. Use these options to affect the color output.

Toshiba e-BRIDGE MAC Driver Option Menus Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator) • A couple of screen shots from InDesign with tips.

General: • PPD: Insure the Toshiba driver is

shown. Color Management: • Color Handling – This is a common

setting to quickly change color control from InDesign or the Toshiba MFP printer driver.

• Change this to “Let PostScript...” to see how it affects your color print job.

• The default is to use InDesign. Output: • This menu shows the INKS listing; it is

important to see if there are any Spot Colors, Pantone, or custom color swatches listed here. Only CMYK is expected here for general PostScript driver usage.

• Any custom colors may require a Fiery controller option (Laser Based MFP models only), or will need to use the Color Profile Tool services from your Dealer to create custom ICC profiles, and build Spot Color profiles.
