ACCESS Summer English Language Camps are designed for children and teens who want to have fun while they are learning English! Participants will make friends from around the world, visit exciting tourist sites, and get to know Canada all at the same time.

Students will attend weekday morning English classes, and participate in exciting daily afternoon trips and activities. The weekends include day trips to various destinations. Led by our teachers, the trips are a fun way for students to see the Toronto area with their classmates, meet students from other countries around the world, and practice English all at the same time!

Students have the option of choosing from two camps: Our TORONTO camp gives students the excitement of living and studying in a big city. Our TORONTO WEST (Hamilton) camp gives students the experience of living in a smaller city in the middle of Toronto and Niagara Falls. Students visit Toronto on many of our teacher-guided day trips.

Whichever camp they choose, students are guaranteed to go home with memories to last a lifetime!

English ClassesACCESS classes focus on teaching fundamental skills (grammar, writing, reading, speaking and listening) in an integrated way. Teachers use the communicative approach, and careful attention is paid to ensuring lessons are both interactive and fun. Students will practice speaking in pairs and small groups. All classes pay special focus to developing oral skills. On the first day of class, students will take a writ-ten and verbal English language test, and are then placed in the corresponding level with a mix of students from other countries.

Trips & Activities Trips and activities are an integral part of the ACCESS Sum-mer English Language Camp program. We believe that stu-dents learn through doing, and participating in after school activities is a great way to practice newly learned English language skills! Teachers and Activity Staff join the students to supervise and encourage interaction in English.

StudentsOur students come from a number of different countries around the world including: Russia, Korea, Spain, Japan, Venezuela, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, and more. All students are expected to speak in English during class time and while on all trips and activities.

Teachers All teachers are university graduates, TESL certified, and have extensive experience teaching students from diverse cultural backgrounds. our students!

TORONTO WEST (HAMILTON) Ages 11 - 17 years

TORONTO CENTRE Ages 8 - 17 years

Location: Downtown TorontoLocated on Spadina Avenue surrounded by the University of Toronto buildings, our facility has air-conditioned classrooms, a student area with a ping-pong table, & vending machines . The school is a five-minute walk from Spadina subway station.

Trips & Activities: Daily teacher-guided afternoon activities plus one day trip every Saturday are included. Sundays are spent with friends or Host Families.

Transportation: The Toronto bus and subway system are safe and easy to use. Students and teachers will use local transit to travel to all weekday afternoon activities. Because students will take the bus/subway daily to and from school, they must be mature enough to use public transportation on their own. Students must purchase a TTC pass to get to/from school as well as for use on weekday trips. Most Saturday trips are by chartered bus.

Accommodation: Homestay Students live in Homestay with Canadian fami-lies. Hosts provide three meals per day and a warm, comfortable environment. All host fami-lies have been carefully screened by our Home-stay Coordinator to ensure safety. Students un-der 13 years will be placed in a homestay with an older student who will accompany them to school, or will be escorted to/from school daily on the TTC (additional fees apply). Residence accommodation is available (for groups only) at the nearby University of Toronto.

Dates: Our Toronto camp runs from the last week of June to the second week of August. Students can choose periods of 2 to 8 weeks.

Start Dates:June 25July 3, July 9, July 16, July 23, July 30, Aug. 7th

Location: Hamilton (Toronto-area)Located on the campus of Hillfield Strathal-lan College (a prestigious private school), our Summer Camp has beautiful, new buildings, and top rate facilities. Classrooms are modern and equipped with the latest technology. The campus has a gym, outdoor basketball & vol-leyball courts, as well as WIFI and a computer area. Conveniently located in between Toronto & Niagara Falls, Hamilton is a quick 45 minute drive from both cities, making it the perfect location.

Trips & Activities: Students experience the perfect combination of teacher-guided trips & activities both in the Hamilton area, and in Toronto and Niagara. We use chartered buses on all trips.

Transportation: Students living in residence have a 2- minute walk to class. Students in Homestay take the bus or can pay an extra cost to be driven to/from school daily by their host family or ACCESS driver.

Accommodation: Residence & Homestay Students live in shared suites on-campus at Mohawk College’s new, modern residence. All students are supervised by their group leaders and/or ACCESS staff who live on site. Students each have their own private bedroom (with double bed) in a shared two-bedroom suite. In the suite there is a small kitchenette (refrigera-tor and microwave), as well as a full washroom with shower. The residence is equipped with a laundry room, games room, and even a small movie theatre! Tasty breakfasts, lunches & dinners are included daily for all students in residence. Homestays are available for students who would like a full cultural experience of liv-ing with a friendly, Canadian family.
