1 Ext. SHOPPING STREET DAY

GWEN walks along pushing a pram down a busy high street. She looks tired,dressed casually. Baby Ianto stirs inside the pram. Her mobile rings and sheanswers it, still pushing the baby in a pram with one hand. Its Rhys.

GWENHiya Rhys. You not at work yet?

RHYSNo I havent got any jobs till four. Ive just beenwatching the news, they recon two more kidsgone missing from that park just down the road.

Thats seven gone missing now all from thesame place. I dont know what people are stilltaking there kids there for. You dont think itsanything to do with

GWENRhys Ive told you this before. I dont do aliensanymore. Leave it for someone else to deal withwill you. Torchwoods finished. Im a mum nowthats my job, taking care of little baby Ianto.

RHYSI know Gwen I was just talking. Its what normalpeople do.

GWENLook Rhys Ive gotta go shopping so Ill talk toyou later alright. Love you, bye.

GWEN hangs up the phone and continues down the high street pushing thepram.

CUT TO:

2 INT. SHOPPING CENTRE DAY

GWEN pushes pram with baby Ianto in it down an isle looking around theshelves. She moves slowly along without looking and crashes into a trolley infront of her.

GWENOh, Im so sorry. I wasnt looking. Im reallysorry. (Looks up, recognises woman pushingtrolley) Dawn?

DAWN, Blonde, late 20s, Essex accent

DAWN

Gwen Cooper. I havent seen you in bloodyyears. How you been?

GWENIve been alright you know just been busy thatsall.

DAWNYeah I can see that.

DAWN kneels and looks at baby Ianto in the pram. She strokes his chin and

smiles.

DAWNOh, hes gorgeous. Hell be a heartbreaker whenhes older. (stands) Better keep an eye on himthough what with all the goings on with the kidsthese days.

GWENDawn that was over a year ago with that wholewe are coming thing everythings been ok since.

DAWNGwen I aint talking about that. I mean thisbusiness down at that park where all the kidskeep disappearing. Theres like seven gone now.Janes girl went the other day, shes in pieces.She hasnt been home since shes been walkingthe streets trying to find her.

GWEN

Oh my god! I didnt realise. How comes no onetold me. Idve been out there helping her ifsomeone would have told me.

DAWNGwen darlin, I dont think it would help. Shes justvanished, all the kids have. Anyway whats beengoing on with you? You still in the police force? Iheard you were working for some special opsunit. Dont tell me you gave that up to be a mum,Id love a job like that.

GWENYeah, a mums all I want to be these days.

DAWN

Yeah well hes a cracker. Anyways best be offgotta finish shopping Ill see you sometime soon.

GWENYeah give Jane my love, hope she finds herdaughter.

DAWN pushes the trolley passed Gwen. Gwen watches as she leaves.

GWEN(Sighs) Always Torchwood.

CUT TO TITLESCUT TO:

3 EXT. RIVERDALE PARK DAY

A MIDDLE AGED woman sits on a metal bench outside a park talking to anotherwoman. The middle aged woman looks towards the park at her young son onthe swings while the other woman continues to talk.

THE CHILD smiles as he starts to swing higher. The woman beside his motherrocks a pram forwards and back. The mother watches her son smiling as hegiggles.

SUDDENLY the smile drops off her face and her eyes begin to search acrossthe park frantically.

MOTHERJake?

SHE STANDS and runs towards the park. Her friend watches with concern as

the mother turns frantic looking for her son whos instantly disappeared. Sheruns to the swing and looks around for him checking every child around andcalling his name over and over. Other parents look with concern and confusionas she starts to scream.

MOTHER(Shouts) Jake!

GWEN stands holding Ianto, rocking him gently. The TV is on showing a newsreport on the disappearances.

NEWSREADER

Police are still puzzled over the sevendisappearances that have occurred in a localpark in Cardiff. The disappearances began fourdays ago and so far police have reported noleads as to who is behind the disappearancesand how they are managing to steal the children.Heres Jessica Smith with the full story.

TV cuts to female reporter standing outside an empty park. The park issurrounded by police tape.

REPORTERDetails remain sketchy about thesedisappearances and witnesses remain few overhow exactly they were stolen but we here withthe mother of missing child Kyle West. Mrs. Westcan you explain exactly to me what happened onthat day when Kyle disappeared.

MRS.WESTI dont really remember much. It didnt make anysense one minute I was staring right at him,swinging away he was. He always loved theswings. Then he was just gone. Not likesomeone took him. It was like he just vanished.

REPORTERWhat do you mean?

MRS. WESTI was watching him the whole time. I never evenblinked. Not once. But he swung up and then he

was goneforever.

GWEN PRESSES the off button on her remote not wanting to hear anymoreabout it.

RHYS ENTERS the living room gives Gwen a kiss on the cheek, throws hiskeys on the kitchen counter and lifts baby Ianto from Gwens arms. He beginsrocking him in his arms.

GWENThought you were working late?

RHYS HOLDS Gwens hand and looks into her eyes.

RHYSNo more Torchwood alright. Its over. Weve got

a new adventure now. Me, you and Ianto.CUT TO:

5 INT. BEDROOM MORNING

COLD, SLOW MUSIC PLAYS

GWEN LAYS in her bed alone staring up at the ceiling. Ianto starts to cry inanother room. Gwen, sighs, and drags herself out of the bed.

CUT TO:

4A INT. LIVING ROOM MORNING

GWEN SITS on the sofa with baby Ianto playing on the floor in front of her. Shegives a slight smile at him but it soon fades.

CUT TO:

4B INT. LIVNG ROOM EVENING

GWEN STARES into space as Rhys sits beside her playing with Ianto. The TVplays a news report that neither pay attention to. CU of Gwens face.

REPORTERPolice are still puzzled as the number ofdisappearances rise and are now looking intoother disappearances in the area to see if thereis a connection. People of all ages havedisappeared and the police now believe that theymay be in some way connected to thedisappearances at Riverdale Park.

CUT TO:

6 EXT. RIVERDALE PARK NIGHT

TWO TEENAGERS, one boy and one girl, sneak up to a desolate parksurrounded by police tape. The park is run down with rusty swings that creak inthe breeze and a tarnished silver slide. The girl looks reluctant but follows theboy under the tape and into the park. They giggle as they enter the park andstart to run around.

THE GIRL FALLS to the tarmac floor and laughs loudly. The boy tries to giveher a hand to get up but she pulls him down and they kiss.

SOMETHING in the distance watches them and slowly moves closer. The Girlrolls the boy onto his back and sits on top of him.

SHE TAKES off her jacket and starts to kiss him. He sits up and takes off his t-

shirt before lying back down then she starts to kiss her way down his body.

THE THING watching them both moves closer to them. CU of the boys face ashe moans. Suddenly, the thing watching them, moves till it is right beside them.

CUT TO:

6A EXT. RIVERDALE PARK NIGHT

WIDE SHOT of the entire park as he sound of screaming rings through thenight.

CUT TO:

6B EXT. RIVERDALE PARK NIGHT

GREEN SLUDGE oozes across the pavement and down a drain as the screamsfade to silence.

CUT TO:7 EXT. CARDIFF BAY DAY

GWEN STANDS on the bay looking out at the sea with baby Ianto in the prambeside her. The bay has been rebuilt after the explosion in Children of Earth:Day One. Baby Ianto starts to stir.

Gwen continues to stare out at the sea, looking sad, and over this hears hervoice.

GWEN V/OThats the thing about TorchwoodIt ruins yourlife.

Turns to face the door of what used to be the Torchwood Hub.

Breathing slowly.

Focused on the door she hears Toshikos voice.

TOSHIKO V/OI wouldnt have missed it for the world.

GWEN REACHES for her mobile and quickly dials a number.

GWENHello? Is that Louis Habiba? Its Gwen Cooper,

from Torchwood.

ANDYWhat you doing here?

They move out of the hug

ANDY(sighs) Le me guessTorchwood businessright?

GWENWell sort of. Same sort of thing I think but, notreally because there aint really a Torchwoodanymore. Everyones gone. Its just me now.

ANDYSo what you think aliens are stealing children?

GWENWouldnt exactly be the first time would it?

CUT TO:

9A EXT. RIVERDALE PARK DAY

GWEN AND PC ANDY WALK into the park. Andy points to one of the swings,directing Gwen. Gwen crouches in front of the swing examining it

ANDYThats where the first kid disappeared.

GWENAnd that was Five days ago?

ANDYYep. One minute he was swinging on this swing.He was twelve. One of his mates

said he swung as high as he could, jumped offand then bang. He was gone.

GWENJust like that? This is too weird to not be alien Ithink. How many gone missing now?

ANDYWell theres seven kids vanished into thin airover the past five days. But now there starting to

count other disappearances, and including the

two teenagers that been reported last night itmakes a total of nineteen now.

GWEN

Nineteen people of all different ages allsupposedly taken from this park, but why the hellwould any bloody aliens want with people froman old park?

GWEN STANDS, looks around and then to her watch.

GWENI better get going. I dont think Im going to beable to find anything here. But Ill keep looking.Just gotta get home, Rhysll be home soon and I

dont think hell be too happy about me doingthis.

ANDYJust give him a few cakes when you tell himabout it, he probably wont even here you.

GWEN LOOKS disapprovingly at Andy as she walks away.

ANDY(Shouts) Im getting married by the way!

But Gwen doesnt hear him and continues, hastily, back to her car.CUT TO:

10 INT. LIVING ROOM EVENING

RHYS SITS on the sofa looking agitated. He presses the button on the remotecontinuously, changing the channel over and over again.

GWEN STEPS through the front door and enters the living room. She gives him

a kiss on the cheek and throws her keys on the kitchen counter.

GWENHow long you been home?

RHYSAbout half an hour. Got home to find a strangewoman looking after our son.

GWENStrange woman? You know Louis she helped us

out last year.

RHYSYes that was when you worked forTorchwoodanyway I sent her home.

GWEN GOES to the cupboard and pulls out a glass and pours into the glassfrom a bottle of wine, already open, on the counter. She starts to drink.

GWENWheres Ianto?

RHYSI put him to bed.

GWEN takes another mouthful of wine and Rhys changes the channel one last

time before throwing the remote to his side.

GWENAlright Rhys, Im sorry.

RHYSIt doesnt matter.

GWEN WALKS across the living room and sits beside Rhys looking at him.

GWENI know youve always hated the wholeTorchwood thing but

RHYSTorchwood doesnt exist anymore. You said soyourself. This is just you looking for a way to bemore than just a mum.

GWENI am sorry Rhys.

RHYS(Sighs) I think you need to do more just say itthis time Gwen.

GWEN sighs, stands up and leaves the room hesitantly.

10A INT. LIVING ROOM NIGHT

RHYS SITS on the sofa watching TV. Gwen steps into the room dressed in ablack silky dressing gown.

GWENRhys, you coming to bed?

RHYS

Bloody hell Gwen, its only half past eight.

CAMERA SHOWS Gwen from behind as her dressing gown opens and areluctant, goofy grin fills Rhyss face.

11 INT. BEDROOM MORNINGGWEN and Rhys lay in bed looking into each others eyes.

RHYSSo were agreed right?

GWENYeah ok. Youre right. I promise. Im a mum now,thats my priority, you and Ianto.

RHYSNo more Torchwood?

GWENNo more Torchwood.

CUT TO:

12 INT. LIVING ROOM MORNING

GWEN SITS on the sofa eating a piece of toast while feeding Ianto. Teletubbiesplays on the TV. A heap of post comes flying through the letter box and crashesto the wooden floor.

GWEN PUTS the plastic spoon down in the bowl and walks over to grab theheap of post. She searches through and takes interest in one letter in particular.The address on the front is handwritten.

SHE RIPS open the envelope and starts looks down at a piece of A4 paper thatsimply says Longships Roadwith a small sketch of the torchwood logo in thebottom corner.

GWEN(Sighs) Always Torchwood.

CUT TO:

12A INT. BEDROOM MORNING

GWEN grabs her hand gun out of her wardrobe and loads it and slips it down

the back of her trousers.

12B INT. LIVING ROOM MORNING

GWEN PICKS up a black jacket of the back of the sofa and slips it on. She givesa slight smile and lets out a relieved breath.

CUT TO:

13 INT. RHYSS OFFICE DAY

GWEN rushes in dragging the pram with her and stops in front of Ruths desk.

GWENHiya Ruth. Wheres Rhys?

RUTHOh, hes just gone out. Only down the shop hewanted to get some chocolate I think.

GWENAlright well can you just give him a message forme? Justjust tell him Im sorry.

She runs out leaving baby Ianto with Ruth. Ruth looks panicked as she realisesthat Gwen has left the baby.

RUTHWait! Gwen you left the baby.

CUT TO:

14 EXT. SHOPPING STREET DAY

GWEN WALKS down a half empty shopping street. Rhys runs up behind herand grabs her by the arm. She turns looking shocked.

RHYS

What dyou think your doing Gwen?

GWENIm sorry Rhys I have to.

RHYSNo, no you dont. You havent had to do it forover a bloody year.

GWENWell its different now Rhys for god sake dont

you realise. Are you that fucking stupidIt was a

year ago. A year ago today I stood on a hill andwatched Jack run away from everything.

RHYS

What has that got to do with anything?

GWENBecause thats why I hate himHe ran awayfrom everything. From me, from Torchwood, hisentire life and I will not do the same. I will not runRhys, I wont.

RHYS LOOKS at Gwen with realisation in his eyes, relaxing his shoulders. Hestands silent while Gwen starts to edge away and continues down the street.

CUT TO:

15 EXT. QUEEN ALEXANDRA DOCK DAY

GWEN WALKS, gun drawn, along the dock. Her darts from side to side,scanning the warehouse along the dock until she comes across a large blackvan parked with people being dragged out of the back.

SHE MOVES to the side and tries to stay out of sight while she watches severalpeople dressed in black dragging prisoners from the back of the van. Theprisoners are all dressed differently with shackles on their wrists and ankles andbrown sacks over their heads.

GWEN LOOKS in horror as they are dragged, stumbling into the warehouseadjacent to the van. Once theyve all been dragged inside she steps cautiouslyround to the side of the warehouse and enters through an already open door.

CUT TO:

16 INT. WAREHOUSE DAY

GWEN HIDES behind a line of large metal canisters as she watches theprisoners continuing to be dragged through to a woman standing looking

powerful and in control.

All seven prisoners are dragged up to the woman and forced to kneel in front ofher. A man steps forward, dressed in black, and bows

Leverage.

A long pause. Gwen stares curiously at General Fury.

GENERAL FURY(Shouts) Open the vault!

A man behind her moves from his rigid stance and walks like a soldier to thehuge silver door. He taps a long code into a control panel and the door begins toopen with the loud boom of huge bolts unlocking.

GWENWhats in there?

GENERAL FURY

The soon to be immortal warrior.

GWEN MOUTHS the words in disbelief. Immortal

Suddenly the huge silver door screeches open. CU of Gwens face lookingshocked beyond belief. As the door slides open she sees Captain Jack chainedto the wall of a small room.

GWENJack.

GENERAL FURYWhy dont you two catch up? (looks past Gwen)Lock her up.

A MAN handcuffs Gwens hands behind her back and pushes her forward intothe vault. Shes thrown to the floor in front of Jack as the door begins to screechclosed again.

CUT TO:

17 INT. VAULT DAY

GWEN SITS with her back against the wall staring at the floor. Jack, stillchained to the wall, stares across at Gwen.

JACKNot gunna talk to me?

GWENNo.

JACK

Not even a little bit glad that Im back.

GWENHow did you even get back jack?

JACKOh you know me. Met a guy in a bar, turned outto be a pilot, gave me a lift back and here I am.

GWENI thought this planet was too small for you now.Why bother coming back?

JACKWell I have a duty to TorchwoodI duty to you.An old friend reminded me of that.

GWEN MOVES her head slowly and looks up at him.

GWENDyou mean

JACKYeah.

Theres a brief awkward silence between the two. They stare into each otherseyes but Gwen soon looks away.

GWENSo whats this lot up to then?

JACKRemember I told you about the Sontarans?

GWENYeah you said UNIT used their technology forProject Indigo.

JACKYeah well, the Sontarans have been at war for afew millenniums with a race called the Rutans.

GWENAnd thats that green stuff.

JACKYeah that would be them. Their technologyschanged since what I last saw of them in the old

records. They used to be shape shifters but now

they seem to need to take hold of a human host.Its like theyve gone backwards.

GWEN

But what do they want Jack?

JACKMe.

CUT TO:


GENERAL FURY clatters down a flight of stairs. She reaches the bottom andburst through a door into a large genetics lab. Test tube, microscopes andcomputer fill all the desks that occupy the room. Men and women dressed in

black are all rushing around mixing solutions and typing vigorously on thecomputers.

GENERAL FURYRight, someone better have good news.

A SCRAWNY little man walks nervously up to her.

SCRAWNY MANErm, General Fury. I think I have some goodnews.

She followed the man back to his computer where he shows an animation of twodifferent strands of DNA side by side on his screen.

SCRAWNY MANHis DNA is completely unique, not just to yoursbut every other species from across this galaxythat we have on record. But there is one tiny partthats that same as yours.

One single part of each strand of DNA on the screen turns white.

SCRAWNY MANI believe that if we can use this single part ofyour DNA to fuse your original form with hisbody.

GENERAL FURYAnd what if it doesnt work?

Then youll be ripped apart and scattered intoatoms.

GENERAL FURY stands up straight from looking at the computer. She takes a

deep breath and says.

GENERAL FURYDo itNow!

19 INT. LIVING ROOM DAY

RHYS CRASHES through the front door and into the living room.

RHYS

Gwen? Gwen you here?

LOOKS down at the coffee table and see the Torchwood logo scribbled on thecorner of a piece of paper. He picks it up and quickly reads before running backout the front door.

CUT TO:

20 INT. VAULT DAY

GWEN, now standing looks around the small room looking to find some way ofescape. She looks frustrated after finding nothing and kicks the metal door.

JACKThat help?

GWENOh shut up Jack alright, just shut up.

JACKGwen I am sorry I left.

GWENI dont care Jack. I just dont fucking care. All Icare about is getting out of here so you go runoff again.

JACKIm not leaving again Gwen. Im staying this time.

GWEN(Shouts) And how am I supposed to believe thatthis time Jack...You left me.

JACKThats why youre angry?

GWEN

Yes.

JACKBecause I left?

GWENYes!

JACKI wouldve thought youd want to get rid of me. Ithought youd hate me, I thought everyone

would.

GWENWell I didnt. I understood what you didIfanythingYou were my hero Jack. You madesuch a sacrifice to save the world. I couldnt dothat.

JACKThats not a bad thing.

GWENWhat its better if all the children of the worldwere taken, if all the life was sucked out of them.

JACKIt was only ten percent.

GWENTo start with. But why they stop there. Sincewhen have aliens been fair in a bargaining?

THERE WAS a long awkward pause. Gwen turns to face Jack.

GWENI could never hate you Jacknot really.

THE HUGE metal door screeched open. General Fury stands looking smugwhile people rush around her, mostly children.

GENERAL FURYOut you come. The experiment is about to begin.

A TEENAGE BOY drags Gwen from the vault while three young girls and a boyno older than twelve starts to undo the chains holding Jack.

CUT TO:

20A INT. WAREHOUSE DAY

GWEN IS DRAGGED out of the vault to the side of the door where the teenageboy marching her stands beside her, guarding her.

JACK is marched out shortly after and stood on a blue platform in the centre ofthe room. Gwen looks with concern. General Fury stands beside Jack andsmiles deviously.

GWENWhat are you doing?

GENERAL FURYWe came to this planet following a legendthelegend of a man that could never dieUsing ourtechnology I will leave this human host and takea new form, a form that will never die. I will fighton the front line and soon I will destroy the entireSontaran race single handedThis war willendthis war will be won.

The large blue panel below them starts to light up.

GENERAL FURY(Whispers) For victory.

CUT TO:

21 EXT. OUTSIDE WAREHOUSE DAY

RHYS SNEAKS along the side of the warehouses till he sees one with an opendoor. He stands beside it and peers in to see Captain Jack standing on a lit upblue platform beside an unknown woman. He peers round to see Gwen

standing looking distressed, handcuffed and being guarded. Rhys hears a manshout.

MANActivate power supply. Charging disintegrator.

RHYS LOOKS around behind him. His eyes search his surroundings. Camerazooms in on large generator surrounded by a silver mesh fence. Rhys standsand runs towards it.

GWEN STARTS to struggle and the teenage boy holds her so she cannotmove.

JACKGwen stop!

GWEN stops struggling but still looks angry and upset.

GWENJack you cant die. Run for god sake.

JACKI dont care about me. If I run theyll kill you and Iwont let that happen.

GWEN STARTS to struggle again. The teenage boy holds her back. Jackstands on the lit up panel closing is eyes.

GWENWhat are you doing?

GENERAL FURYThis machine will disintegrate our human forms.From that we will be fused and with his uniquecellular make up I will be reborn as the immortalwarrior. We had to wait till you arrived to stop theCaptain running awaywhich gave us time toscan his DNA to find a match with our species.

GWENBut you cant!

GENERAL FURYI think youll find we canThis war must endGwen Cooper.

CUT TO:

23 EXT. OUTSIDE WAREHOUSE DAY

RHYS BREAKS open the panel of the generator with a bar found lying beside it.He crouches down in front of it and looks hesitantly at all the wires in front ofhim. His hand hovers in front of the wires and he looks worried. Suddenly hegrabs a handful of wires and rips them out. Sparks fly out of the generator andRhys dives backwards.

THE LIGHT under Jacks feet starts to get brighter till Gwen can barely look at it.Her eyes look strained from the bright light. Suddenly the light shuts off andeveryone starts to look confused.

YOUNG CHILDWeve lost power!

GENERAL FURYWell get it back!

GWEN and Jack look at each other. Jack nods. Gwen suddenly kicks theteenage boy guarding her to the floor. His keys drop out of his pocket as hefalls. Jack runs over, grabs the keys and runs with Gwen towards the door. PCAndy stands forward with a machine gun and begins to fire at them. They duck

down as they run for the door.CUT TO:

24A EXT. OUTSIDE WAREHOUSE DAY

GWEN and Jack burst out of the warehouse with gunshots still firing at them.Jack closes the door but the sound of gunshots remains, muffled, in thebackground. They both breathe heavily. Jack used the keys to undo thehandcuffs and Gwen holds her wrist in pain.

GWENWhat dwe do now then

A SILVER car screeched up beside them. Rhys is driving.

RHYS(Shouts) Get in!

JACK and Gwen climb into the car and it screeches away from the warehouseacross the bumpy gravel to safety.

CUT TO:

25 EXT. FIELD DAY

THE CAR stops in the middle of a field. Jack gets out of the back and walks offpressing buttons on his vortex manipulator. Gwen and Rhys get out of the carand sit against the bonnet.

RHYSSo hes back them.

GWEN

Yeah.

RHYS LOOKS down at the floor and sighs.

GWEN

Why did you come and get us?

RHYSI knew you were in trouble. Dont care if I am anidiot I wanted to help anyway I can.

GWENYoure not an idiot Rhysand Im glad youcame.

RHYS

Well I listened to what you said andIunderstand.

RHYS SCRATCHES his neck and Gwens eyes widen at a huge gash along hisleft hand.

GWENWhat happened there?

RHYSGot a bit of a shock when I pulled all those wiresout.

GWENThat was you?

RHYS NODS.

GWEN(Smiles) I love you.

RHYSI love you tooTorchwoods your choice youknow. Its nothing to do with me. Ill just have tolump it.

GWENNot if you dont want (Rhys interrupts)

RHYSIm proud of youfor doing all this. Saving theworld, Im proud of you for doing itAnd its

bloody sexy too.

JACK

I think I found a way to stop them.CUT TO:


THE CAR doors slam as Jack, Gwen and Rhys step out and walk towards thepark. They enter the park and stand in the centre looking around.

JACKRight so the Rutans have been stealing humanhosts from this park for the last five days to

RHYS WALKS off out of the park. Gwen sits on one of the swings and starts toswing gently. Jack sits next to her.

GWENSo we just gotta wait them?

Theres a brief pause in conversation. Neither of them makes eye contact. Jackstares at a single spot of the floor in front of him while Gwen keeps looking allaround her.

THREE BLACK vans screech up all around the park. Jack watches the one thatscreeches up in front of him while Rhys looks nervously around himself. Gwencontinues to stare at Jack.

GWEN(Bewildered) Thats your plan?

GENERAL FURY steps out of the van Jack stands facing and starts to walktowards the park as people begin to pour out the back of all three vans holdingmachine guns. Thy run round and begin to surround the park.

RHYS STILL looks around nervously and Gwen pulls the gun from the back ofher trousers. Jack still stands looking unaffected by the situation.

JACK

Gwen dont you dare use that gun.

GENERAL FURY stands forward with all others standing further back with theirmachine guns aimed at the group.

GENERAL FURYYou will never be able to get away from usCaptain Harkness. We will capture you and youwill become the Immortal Warrior.

JACKYou only have one chanceI am head ofTorchwood Three and I order you to leave thisplanet and return to your home world.

GENERAL FURY(Chuckles) Ive studied this world. TorchwoodThree doesnt exist. And I do not take ordersfrom Earth institutes that dont exist.

FineThen Ill have to stop you.

A LOUD electrical buzz starts to echo through the park. General Fury, Jack,Gwen and Rhys all look round curiously. The noise begins to get louder andsuddenly General Fury and the Rutans begin to shake uncontrollably.

GREEN TEARS start to fall from their eyes as their bodies jerk uncontrollably.They all suddenly crash to the floor and lay still. The electronic buzz dies off.Jack exits the park with Gwen and Rhys following shortly after. Jack crouchesbeside General Fury and feels for a pulse.

JACKShes alive. I think they all are. I think whateverthat was it just knocked the Rutan form straightout of them.

GWENWhat that wasnt you?

GWEN, JACK and Rhys stand ominously at the top of a hill looking down atRiverdale Park as police screech up and start to check on the now,dispossessed, victims. Gwen smiles as PC Andy starts to wake up and ishelped to his feet.

COLD MUSIC plays.

PC ANDY returns to his feet, followed by the other victims scattered around theperimeter of the park. He blinks vigorously looking confused. He tells hiscolleague that he is fine and he goes to help others. PC Andy looks up at the hilland sees Gwen, Jack and Rhys standing on top of it and smiles.

JACK, GWEN, and Rhys sit at a table outside a busy pub. Baby Ianto liesasleep in his pram beside the table. Three pints are brought to the table by awaiter. He sets them down on the table one by one then walks off after Jack

slips him a tip and smiles suggestively.
