How does child abuse effect the community?
Question
Throughout my research I found that every13secs 3 children are abused. This fact
shows the consistency of child abuse, 3,000,000 cases of child abuse and neglect
were reported this year out of those 2,000 of the children in those case died. However, every situation is different some children
endure trauma, some have behavior problems, most will end up being caught in the juvenile system but all go through hard
ships and struggles.

The Possible Abuse Cycle
My question is relevant because child abuse goes on everywhere. Child abuse is a common problem among today's youth. Although there
are programs and people set up to help the children in need of support who have been abused some problems and situations can only heal with time. However, if we try to
prevent abuse altogether then it will solve a lot of problems in our communities, in our city,
and in the county areas of Baltimore.
How is this relevant to my community?
Through this project I’ve collected data and worked in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Word, and Microsoft Power Point. The first
stage was to collect data, I collected surveys from 60 people and then analyzed my data. I
wrote an introduction using the facts that I got from doing research. One of my more reliable
sources are www.dreamcatcherforabuse.com
I found this website through Google all sources will be list at the end.

In this data I have learned that 43% of people believe that generational problems are to blame for the abuse that happens Baltimore city community; 60% of the people believe that a child who has been abused is more likely to be abused compared to the 40% of people who believe that a child who has been abused is less likely to abuse there child. The purpose of these questions where to get the opinion of students, staff, teachers, parents, and people in the community. In conclusion I believe that the community could make more of a difference and should have a louder voice in the say so of how things are operated. “With effort comes progress”

What can I conclude about my data?
The survey process I used was a bit disorganized if I could change one thing that I did I would use more organizational skills. This would solve a lot of problems that I had throughout the data gathering process.
In the future I would like to research questions like the following:
How does Domestic Violence affect the lives of young children in your community?
How does substance abuse affect the daily lives of people in the community?
Who are the dominant abusers in Domestic relationships?
What question would you like to research in the future?
