The exhibition presents the work ofJulian Antoniszczak (known as Antonisz,November8,1941–January31,1987)-co-founderofthelegendaryStudioofAnimatedFilms in Krakow. An avant-garde Polishfilmmaker,artist,animator,screenwriter,heisbestknownasaninventorandpromoterof his unique animation technique called “non-camera” with Sun: A Non-CameraFilm in 1977 being his first fully non-cameramovie.Thetechniquewastopaintor scratch the images directly onto themovie tape insteadofusingacamcorder.His mechanical skills were legendary;he constructed numerous accessories supporting the creation of non-cameramovies. The Antoniszograf, for example,was a machine which scratched a set of frames, with a fluid transition betweenthe two following images.
