42,000 rpm integrated spindle and axis movements controlled by a linear motor, the top in the class of motion control in terms of super precision, cutting speed and supreme surface quality. The tool measurement is also super precise, utilizing a microscope and compensation software. In regard to the AEC, the advantage is for the manufacturer who is well prepared and ready for global competition. First ever in the industry with a real innovation. It is my honor and great pleasure to introduce the µV1 high-precision machining center innovatively developed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries

(MHI) Japan at the Top of the Best pavilion. There are a number of precision machining centers offering thermal compensation with software, which is just a virtual way to control thermal distortion on the spindle. But, MHI’s µV1 guarantees thermal distortion of less than 5 µm with an innovative structure to keep cooling its spindle, which allows the machine to maintain such fantastic performance all the time. I believe MHI’s µV1 will surely contribute a lot to the high-precision industries in Thailand for their further growth.

Okamoto (Thai) will display the ACC - 64CAiQ, its

latest surface grinding machine. The ACC - 64CAiQ enables mirror- l ike f inishing. I t is comparatively easy to use and with high and stable machining accuracy. Future molds and dies need mirror-like finishing, which enables a longer life. Okamoto (Thai) hopes to

promote its mirror-like finishing technology in a way that the technology, which was in the past mainly available only in Japan, is now also available in Thailand. Regarding the precision engineering sector in Thailand, due to presence of many Japanese manufacturers, it has improved in a way that can even be said to be comparable with that of Japan. The company, therefore, wishes to offer its latest technologies and products in the market in the region.
