Post 2008, IIM-A set a new trend when it increased its fees almost 6 times from a mere 2 lacs
to 11.5 lakhs for its flagship two year PGP course.
Recently even IIM-B has increased its fees from 15 lacs to 17 lacs for its 2 year flagship course
which was one of the highest increase in fees by approximately 13% as compared to year 2012,
even last year IIM-B had increased its fees by almost 15%.
One exceptional IIM was IIM-L which actually reduced the steep burden of fees from 12 lakhs
to approximately 10.8 lakhs. Top B-schools such as NMIMS, Mumbai, MDI, Gurgaon, XLRI,
Jamshedpur too have had hikes in the fee structure for their flagship courses. Even Tier-II
colleges such as IMT, Ghaziabad and IMI, New Delhi have increased their fees by manifolds in
recent times.
