We hope that no families have been heavily impacted by the local fires. With most local schools closed over the past two days, our school has remained open with far reduced attendance. Parents are not required to write notes for not attending school over the past two days, as we understand the circumstances that have impacted so many families. We are currently organising refunds for families who have paid for their stage 2 student to attend the Cascade camp, which was cancelled. In the majority of cases, the refund will be received via a cheque in the mail. Those who have paid via the portal will receive the refund back that way. Good luck to our many year five students who have nominated to run for a school leadership position in 2020. We look forward to hearing your speeches next Tuesday afternoon prior to voting. The results of these elections will be announced later in the term and new leaders will receive their badges at our presentation day assembly on 10 th December. I must take this opportunity to say thank you to our current leaders, who have been wonderful role models for our students throughout the year. Thank you to all our students for a very respectful Remembrance Day Assembly on Monday morning. Thank you also to Mrs Greenway for coordinating this assembly. Finally, it is time for our swimmers to start getting organised for the intensive swimming program. All positions have been filled and this program begins next Friday. Please make sure you bring your swimming gear every day to make the most of this wonderful opportunity. Have a great week everyone!
