Protective treatments

NIPLOYCoolants used in processing marble, glass and stone are a mixture of water andchemicals. While coolants are effective inaiding the processing of the products,these chemical agents are highly corrosive to metal. To avoid these oxidation andcorrosion problems, every exposed surface of our tool holders are coated with“niploy”, a special process based on the chemical deposition of nikel. This nikelcoating process leaves micro-particles on the surface of the tapered cones that arenot measurable with standard tools.

STAINLESS STEEL TOOL HOLDERSTo avoid corrosion due to the coolant, tool holders are made in stainless steel in aspecial alloy. This particular alloy has magnetic properties; with the interaction ofthe coolant become yellow for oxidation but the rust do not penetrate deeply.
