Prototype Tool to Map and Analyze Historical Weather Data with User-Defined Parameters

Choose parameter, quantity (i.e., number of dry spells of 7 or more days), and statistic of interest (i.e. probability of exceedance)

User chooses parameters/statistics of interest

Parameter:• average daily rainfall over chosen season• number of wet days• mean rainfall intensity on wet days• number of dry spellsStatistics:• Mean• Standard deviation• Probability of exceeding X dry spells (definition

of dry spell determined by user)

Potential for Developing this Prototype

So far, 1-degree daily ranfall data from IMD is used here in password-protected area of IRI Data Library
