Form and forces: designing efficient, expressive structures - Allen, Edward, 2010Book | A very good book, readable very little maths (graphical analysis used very well),
comprehensive. Get through this book and you would have probably covered structures foryour whole career. | Only two downsides: (1) cost - about £40 (if you shop about) - I'veasked library to get some (2) from the US so units are different (ft, lbs) etc, but that makeslittle difference to understanding and supporting resources on web work in SI units
Structures for architects - Gauld, B J B., 1994Book | Recomended text on the module for many years. Introductory, moderatly easy
on the Maths, a little out of date on some of the code specifics (e.g. Eurocodes). Manycopies in the library
Building structures: from concepts to design - Millais, Malcolm, 2005Book
Understanding structures: analysis, materials, design - Derek Seward, 2014Book
