(including DISTANCE swims)
200m Backstroke Championships (qualifiers only)
25/50/100m Breaststroke
25/50/100m Backstroke
25/50/100m Butterfly
25/50/100m Freestyle
200m Freestyle Championships (qualifiers only)
* Swimmers are NOT permitted to swim 25m, 50m or 100m of the SAME stroke on the SAME night.
* Swimmers must be 6yrs/over to attempt 100m swims
* Swimmers must be 9yrs/over to attempt 200m swims
* Swimmers must be 10yrs/over to attempt 400m swims
On occasions of unfavourable weather, when the clubhouse is used for the marshalling of events, the full co operation of all swimmers and parents will be required.
NOISE MUST BE KEPT TO A MINIMUM for swimmer’s names and instructions from the marshals to be heard by everyone. Swimmers not complying with the requests from the marshals will be refereed to the referee.
EXTRA TIMEKEEPERS will be
needed EACH WEEK for each
CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT until
the end of the season,
especially
200m Backstroke Cships & 200m Freestyle TONIGHT.
* Please gather at 5.50pm for a time check. 2-3 timekeepers will be needed on EACH LANE for
each championship event.

The success of our carnival was largely due to the enormous
effort of the volunteers.
* As we value the contribution of each and every volunteer, if we have omitted
recognising anyone, please let us know for next week.

We will also be having 2 Boys Relay Teams competing as well. Good luck to these swimmers (to be advised) who will be representing the club.

unpaid volunteers and all matters should be dealt with in a respectful
way.
If there are any further concerns, please drop the committee a line
expressing your concern and it can be discussed at the next committee

Hi All......
Last weekend our own RIPPLES carnival..... Great Job everybody..... Thanks to the committee and volunteers for a smooth running event.....
Ripples was dominant.... would have liked to have seen more support from other clubs....although hopefully word will get out as to how this event was run and maybe next time.... will see a difference!!!!
Thanks to all the competitors.... some great swims... PB's lots of Medals, smiling faces & fun relays.....

Club Championships card entry packs are now available. The cost of Distance/Age Champion-ships entries will be $2.00 per swim to a maximum of $10.00 for all swims. AGE for all Champion-ships will be as at 24th January 2011. Please check your Summer Book for more information.

Welcome Ripples Leisure Centre new General Manager Greg Crawford
To the members and parents of Ripples St Marys Swim Club,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new General Manager for Ripples. I am excited about the challenges and opportunities ahead for Ripples and see the swim club as an essential service to the success of the organisation.
I have worked in fitness and aquatic facilities for over 15 years and in a management position for 9. This included Centre Manager positions for other councils, private companies and large universities. Coupled with industry specific qualifications and a business degree, I hope to use my skills and experience to lead the Ripples team to bigger and better things.
I look forward to meeting members and parents of the club over the coming months and seeing the clubs successes in and out of the pool. Best of luck for the year.

“Swimmers under the age of sixteen years
must have adequate supervision (by a person aged sixteen years or older) in attendance for the duration of club nights or carnivals.
Any swimmers being identified in attend-ance at either a carnival or on club night without adequate supervision, will not be allowed to compete until his or her parent carer arrives to assume the supervisory responsibility for that swimmer.”
