Creating our Digipak

Page 2: Toms pres. digipak

Front CoverWe had always planned to use smaller images of us holding up the signs and use it as our background. We easily done this by copying and pasting each image and moving it into place. Although this did take a long while.

We did actually get lost when creating the front cover as the ideas we originally had didn’t quite work as we wanted it to. We then decided to not waste any more time and go with something simple with just writing over the top.

With the ‘The 99s’ text, we gave it a red shadow so it stood out more. We went with a red theme colour as it went well with the brick wall colour. We also gave it an effect to make it a bit see through which worked well.

We did try other fonts however none were very effective

Back Cover This is the original picture we took for the background. As you can see we made it darker through brightness and contrast controls to make it match the rest of the digipak

We created this barcode using Photoshop. It was done by using black lines and adjusting the thickness of random ones. We then wrote random numbers.

We simply wrote the text over the brick wall, and apart from 1 – 5, we made up song names.

Outside inside cover

We used the original pictures and we planned to use them when we discussed earlier. However the finished product wasn’t planned and only come about after I was messing around for a laugh.

Inside cover

Above is the original photo but we changed it to make it fit in with the rest of the digipak. So we changed the effects and put the brick wall above and below the picture to keep the theme

We made this picture look ‘grainy’ to make it look more indie and to fit in with the rest of the digipak as before it looked to sharp.

Disc holder cover

This was the original picture we took of the McDonalds ice cream. We then put it on Photoshop and used the magnetic lasso tool to cut out the ice cream from the background. We took more than one picture just incase.

We tilted the ice cream and give it some effects to make it soften in with the background.

We created the circle to show where the disc would go by making in white and increasing the opacity
