Mrs.Swanger’s favorite color
is blue and she likes polka-
dots so her tomb will have
blue polka-dots. Her favorite
artist is Vincent Van Gogh so
her tomb will have drawings
or paintings that Vincent
Van Gogh drew or painted.
Mrs.Swanger was born in
Pymouth Meeting, USA so
maybe her tomb could have
red, white, and blue the
colors of the American flag.

Mrs.Swanger wants her
tomb to be a granite tomb.
Mrs.Swanger does not
want her tomb to stand out
so we’re going to put her
tomb behind trees. She
wants flowers around her
tomb and no weeds. She
wants it on the Perkiomen
Trail. She wants it on the
Perkiomen Trail because
she loves to run on the
trail and loves nature.

My job is studying objects to
learn what happened in the past.
We study these objects to learn
information about how, when,
and where cultures developed.
We also learned how these
objects were used. Archeologists
couldn’t read hieroglyphics until
they found the Rosetta stone.
The Rosetta stone had the same
thing written three times. Since
other people could translate the
other languages, and one of
them was hieroglyphics, they
figured out what the Egyptians
were saying.

Mrs.Swanger’s prized possesions are her
half marathon medal, her laptop with
solar charger, her favorite class picture,
and her favorite family picture. She
wants her half marathon medal because
she was proud of running 13.1 miles.
Mrs.Swanger wants her laptop because
she has to be on Facebook, and since
there are no outlets, I will install a solar
charger. She wants her favorite class
picture because she loved that class a
lot. Mrs.Swanger wants her family
picture because she loves her family.
She wants her prized possessions in the
corners of her burial chamber because
she wants to be protected. If
Mrs.Swanger had to hold one thing in
her tomb she would hold her daughter’s
blanket to keep her warm.

In Egypt the Embalmers preserve
the dead body. The Embalming
process cost a lot because the
Embalmers do a lot to mummify
someone. The cheapest way to be
mummified cost 150 Deben's. The
Embalming process takes 70 days.
15 days washing and preparing, 40
days drying, and 15 days bandaging,
wrapping, and painting. Not
everyone could be mummified. Only
royal people and well people could
only be mummified. The cloth they
use is about 1200 yards of 3 ¼ inch.
The burial is decorated with pictures
of foods, animals, and servants. This
is what the Embalmers does.
