“Hi, I am Tom and you remember my assistant,

Jack.”

“Hi,” said Jack.

“Jack, now’s the time to say hi! Not in book 2.

Because in book 2 there is a problem. But now there

isn’t a problem. The only problem is ten kids are

hurting the cats. AHH, KIDS ARE HURTING MY . . .

wait that is a problem! Jack this is not the time to be

fooling around because ten kids are hurting the cats.”

“But.”

“No buts! You got that?”

“Yes.”

“Ok, now we have to save them.”

“Maybe we should save them with the cat?”

“You don’t mess with the cat and I mean it! Kids,

don’t be throwing cats in the water.”

“But she was dirty.”

“But cats don’t clean themselves with their

tongue.”

“But her tongue was dirty.”

“No her tongue is not dirty. And if I hear anymore

meowing, I will tell your mommy, okay? WAIT, I hate

cats, and now I made a kid sad,” said Tom. “Oh no!

Kid COME BACK!!”

“I did not hear you.”

“They must be gone.”

“Tom, can you come with me?” said the kid.

“NO! I am not coming with you because I told you

not to go. So don’t go.”

“Fine. I will go to my mommy and she will go with

me.”

“But your mom . . .”

“She’s not my mom! She’s my mommy.”

“Okay, she’s your mommy. Okay I need to get Jack,

Joe, and Don.”

“But you do not know Don.”

“Come and help me, okay? Let go now. Don you

lock the entrance. Jack you block the trees and Joe,

you go in the middle okay? And I will block the water

so he can’t swim away. I will take him to his mom.

Mom, here’s your kid.”

“Thank you Tom.”

“Well I have to go now,” said Tom. “Okay you can

go home now Joe and you can go home Don.”

“Tom, what time is it?” asked Jack.

“8:30.”

“Is that our bed time?”

“Yes.”

“Then can we go home?”

“NO! Just kidding. Yes, we can go.”
