Dear parents Remembrance Day in Australia is an occasion to commemorate and remember all Australians who have died as a result of war. On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month (to mark the cease fire of World War 1), a minute of silence is observed and dedicated to those soldiers who died fighting to protect the nation. Yesterday, as in the past, we observed this custom as a school.

Bimbi 10 year Anniversary Today we celebrated the 10 year anniversary of the establishment of Bimbi preschool. It was a pleasure to have in attendance past principals, students and parents of the school to help us celebrate this wonderful occasion. From the humble beginnings when Mrs Jenny Arnold was the preschool teacher, to our current teacher, Mrs Sally Longmore and the transition to Mrs Tiffany Shackleton next year, the preschool has experienced many physical changes both inside and out. Today marks an opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge the wonderful students, teachers and support staff who have passed through the doors. We are extremely lucky and proud to be the only school in the Wagga and Cootamundra network of schools to have a preschool on site and this enables a seamless transition from home, to preschool and to Kindergarten. An enormous thank you to all the staff of Bimbi preschool who have worked tirelessly to mark this special occasion of the 10 year anniversary.

Stage 2 Borambola Excursion Next Wednesday 18th November, around 50 excited Stage 2 students will set out on their exciting adventure to the NSW Department of Sport & Recreation Camp at Borambola. For many students it was their first excursion to the Sport and Recreation Centre! The children will be wonderful ambassadors for our school on the excursion and I am sure will bring home some wonderful stories and experiences to share! We will upload photos to our website of the childrens’ adventures.

Kindergarten 2016 Parent Information Sessions

Information sessions for parents of children commencing Kindergarten in 2016 will be held at Bimbi Preschool on Wednesday 18th November at 9.15am. We encourage all parents to come along to hear important information to assist in a successful transition to Kindergarten in 2016.
