We are pleased to share that in 2011 our Chapter experienced another strong year filled with numerous achievements that impacted the lives of more than 11,000 people living with MS in Colorado and Wyoming. thanks to your continued support and steadfast commitment, our Chapter realized increases in revenue, including growth in event participation, which allowed us to support the increased demand for direct services.

In 2011 we welcomed new opportunities, including the formation of the new Colorado-Wyoming Chapter. We successfully aligned resources, built new partnerships and implemented efficiencies that garnered greater awareness of – and access to – our programs and services, expanded engagement in events and raised more money. Additionally, we conducted a series of town hall meetings across Wyoming to directly hear how we could best serve local needs and identified issues that would require advocacy efforts.

never resting on past accomplishments, the Chapter continued to develop new opportunities for community members to support our mission. We held a record-breaking 27 events to raise funds for research and programs that benefit the 88,000 affected by MS in Colorado and Wyoming. the successful execution of these events and additional gifts given by individuals and corporations allowed us to contribute more than $1.1 million toward promising research.

And with our continued financial support, the Society celebrated several historical advancements in research including the first oral disease modifying therapy, as well as the first therapy approved to specifically treat an MS symptom.

the accomplishments of our Chapter could not have been achieved without the exceptional leadership and guidance of our board of trustees and the continued commitment of our staff, volunteers and community donors – together we are unstoppable!

We welcome Brandt Wilkins as our incoming chair of the board and look forward to yet another stellar year. It is with gratitude and thanks that we are able to enter 2012 well positioned to continue the pursuit of our ultimate goal – a world free of MS. let’s keep making a difference. Join the movement.

Sincerely,

“The Chaptercontinued to develop new

opportunities for community

members to support our

mission.”
