WELCOME TO FIRST BAPTISTThomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the going, how do we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” (John 14:5-6)through Me.” (John 14:5-6) Jesus said, “I am the way…” Jesus didn’t say that He was a way, Jesus said, “I am the way…” Jesus didn’t say that He was a way, or another way, or an alternative way, Jesus said he is THE way. This is a huge or another way, or an alternative way, Jesus said he is THE way. This is a huge distinction which changes the course of our lives. It means that we have a wide road distinction which changes the course of our lives. It means that we have a wide road and a narrow road before us, the wide road is labeled with signs from all over, but and a narrow road before us, the wide road is labeled with signs from all over, but the narrow way is only marked by Jesus. Which way do you find yourself on this the narrow way is only marked by Jesus. Which way do you find yourself on this morning? Jesus’? or another’s?morning? Jesus’? or another’s?

There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven: A time to give birth and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted. A time to kill and a time to heal; a time to tear down and a time to build up. A time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance. A time to throw stones and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace and a time to shun embracing. A time to search and a time to give up as lost; a time to keep and a time to throw away. A time to tear apart and a time to sew together; a time to be silent and a time to speak. A time to love and a time to hate; a time for war and a time for peace.

DEAR PARENTS Here at FBCSA, we feel that it is important that kids attend a worship service with their families. As a parent, it is of utmost importance that you model and train your kids in their Christian walk. There is no better way to model corporate worship then to show your kids what it looks like to participate in worship, to listen eagerly, and to pray intently. As you gather here at FBCSA today, we want to partner with you and give you tools to disciple your family. Sitting still in worship can be difficult, even for the most dedicated church-goer, but especially for our youngest attenders. This booklet is designed to help your kids listen a little more closely and to help develop habits of participating during church services. This book is specifically intended for kids age four to around age six. He or she may need your help in navigating the pages. The format will be the same each week as you encourage your kids to listen closely and follow along with the service. Most importantly, after the services conclude, be sure to talk about the things your child learned throughout the morning, whether it be in the car on the way home, at lunch or dinner, or at any other time during the week. Be sure to ask them follow up questions, like, “Can you tell me about this drawing?” or “What words did you hear the pastor say today while he preached?” This will help solidify their learning and comprehension as you discuss the morning and the things God was telling you. God bless you and your family as you worship today. We are glad that you are here! Now, enjoy worshipping together as a family and blessings upon you as you grow in God’s Word together!
