Kids’ Church Kids’ Church is available during both services for children from 4 to 6 years old. Children will be staying in the worship center with their parents throughout worship, announcements and greeting time. They will be dismissed to Kids’ Church after the final worship song, meeting their teachers at the doors in the back of the worship center. Parents should pick up their children from Kids’ Church following the service. We also have a room for nursing mothers in the kids’ wing.

Women’s Retreat - January 18 & 19 Unconditional: Be Free in Christ, a free women’s retreat, will be held at the Auburn Alliance Church from Friday, January 18 (7 to 9 pm) to Saturday, January 19 (8 am to 3 pm). This biblical retreat is an open invitation for all women to overcome relevant, real life issues and celebrate the freedom that comes through Christ. Enjoy inspirational speakers, uplifting worship and liturgical dance performances as women rally together for freedom in the name of Jesus. Re-Engage in 2019 - Begins Today We are starting up our Winter Engage groups today at 9:45 am. In this upcoming series on 1 Corinthians, we will encounter a young church who found themselves struggling through several different issues. Paul writes to them to admonish and confront certain things which had caused them to lose sight of their purpose and lose their distinctiveness in the world. If you weren’t able to join us for Engage groups in the fall, you can sign up today.

On February 10 at 8:30 and 10:00 am, we are going to participate in a global initiative entitled Kids Against Hunger. In the US, we don’t often give a whole lot of thought to global poverty due to our lack of awareness and our abundance, but the statistics are staggering. The United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization estimates

that about 795 million people, or one in nine, were suffering from chronic undernourishment in 2014 to 2016. Every six seconds a child dies because of hunger and related causes.

We cannot fix the problem, but we can make a difference, and February 10 is our opportunity to do just that. We will be packaging 60,000 meals that day that will go to help meet the need. We are asking everyone to be involved by going to gconline.org/register and signing up to be a part of a team.

New Women’s Study Begins - January 30 We will begin a new women’s Wednesday study at Grace House on January 30 - Psalm 23: The Shepherd With Me by Jennifer Rothschild. Gain fresh insight and encouragement from Psalm 23. Explore the depths of God's compassionate care while debunking the self-reliance myth. Learn how your vulnerability is not a liability because you can trust the Shepherd's goodness throughout each season of life. All women are welcome. Workbooks are available at the study for $13.
