Tod Machover – composer, inventor, and Professor of Music & Media at the MIT Media Lab, and Chairman/CoFounder of Harmony Line Inc. – will be presenting his latest work at this week’s prestigious TED Conference in Monterey, California, joining such luminaries as Al Gore, Amy Tan, Craig Venter, and Isaac Mizrahi (www.ted.com). Machover’s talk on Friday 2/29 will outline his work on “Active Music” that led to Hyperinstruments, the Brain Opera, Toy Symphony and Guitar Hero, and will also offer a sneak preview of his robotic opera-in-progress, Death and the Powers. He will be joined by Dan Ellsey, a Boston-area resident with severe cerebral palsey, who will perform an original composition created with Hyperscore, a product of Harmony Line, Inc.
