Machover’s talk on Friday 2/29 will outline his work on “Active Music” that led to Hyperinstruments, the Brain Opera, Toy Symphony and Guitar Hero, and will also offer a sneak preview of his robotic opera-in-progress, Death and the Powers. He will be joined by Dan Ellsey, a Boston-area resident with severe cerebral palsey, who will perform an original composition created with Hyperscore, a product of Harmony Line, Inc. (www.hyperscore.com). TED, an organization that believes passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and ultimately, the world, stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. Each year, the conference brings together 50 the world's most fascinating thinkers and doers, each challenged to give the talk of their lives.
