Firework Science

Year 1 spent a fantastic morning with Mr

Glanville in the science laboratory learning about

light and dark. They learnt about how the moon

reflects the sun's light and all about shadows. They

even watched Mr Glanville make some mini

fireworks burning different chemicals over theBunsen burner! A special mention to Erin O'Leary

for her enthusiasm and hard work, well done!

FOTM Christmas Market

The Friends are still taking bookings for stalls at

their Christmas Market on Friday 25th November.

Williamson on 07968 508941 or send an email to

[email protected]..

Music Achievements

Congratulations to Alexander Blackwell, Oliver

Harris and Darren Banks who have all achieved

very high marks for their recent 'Elements of

Sound' unit test (Year 7 Music) with a special

mention for Beatriz Villar who also did very well

and gained the highest marks for the most neatly

presented work. Well done to you all!

Mrs J Winter-Smith

Reminder

All children in Years 3-8 should have a pair of cross country

shoes or spikes. These must be suitable for mud. The Sweat-

shop in Westbury-on-Trym is selling an excellent range of

shoes and offering anyone connected with TMS a 10% re-

duction. We had a number of children falling this week as itwas the first week of mud and ‘real’ cross country condi-

tions.

Lloyd 8 and under tennis tournament on Saturday

29th October and, after being not only the

youngest entrant but the only girl who entered the

competition, made her way to the final after a

tremendous semi final beating her opponent 11-9.

Lola eventually became runner-up for the

competition after a tough final against 8 year old

Tobey Lock (pictured with Lola). Well done,

Lola!
