RUPANYUP & DISTRICT MEN’S SHED Members of the Rupanyup & District Men’s Shed have been busy out fund raising over the past two months. 17th October, 10 members assisted at the Minyip & District Field & Game School Shoot. This was our second year & all members thoroughly enjoyed it. During November, a group of the shedders have been busy cleaning down & painting the Rupanyup swimming pool. Money raised from these two projects will help buy some much needed equipment for the shed.

RUPANYUP NURSING HOME SUPPORT GROUP

The music project for 2016 concluded in November with entertainment by popular country western singer John Canning. Residents, families & friends enjoyed singing along with John & he commented on how he enjoys coming to Rupanyup. Many thanks to all who provided the beautiful morning tea & sincere thanks to Yarriambiack Shire Council who sponsored the music morning. Volunteers appreciate the support from Residential Manager Steve, Activities Coordinator Wendy & all staff who have assisted in organising stimulating music throughout the year. The Christmas raffle will be drawn on 4th December, for five outstanding prizes which are on display at the Nursing Home. Many thanks to local traders, auxiliary members, locals & volunteers who have donated the prizes. Sincere thanks to all who have purchased tickets – they are still available from Geoff at the supermarket or the Nursing Home. The raffles fund bingo lolly prizes & special treats for residents. Special thanks to Bendigo Bank for again sponsoring the annual Families Christmas Party. Volunteers certainly appreciate all the sponsorship received in 2016. May the blessings of Christmas be with you all, may you enjoy safe travels as you celebrate Christmas & may the New Year be shared with loved family & friends.

Many thanks, Mary & Marg RUPANYUP SUMMER POOL POSITIONS
