Background

BHEL is manufacturing various types of rotating electrical machines (motors & generators)for power plants/industries, In these machines, various types of insulated copper conductorsare used. These motors and generators have a very long expected working life.

This specification details the Pre-Qualification Requirements for procurement of Glass PolysterMix Yarn Insulation Sintered Copper Conductor to specification AM-74006 through open tender.This material is used as main conductor in stator/Rotor coils of electrical machines withinsulation class-F. Vendors have to confirm complete compliance to BHEL purchase spec.AM-74006 in their technical offer. In addition to this, the non-PMD (new) vendors have toconfirm compliance to the Pre-Qualification Requirements (PQRs) given in the presentspecification (PQR-74006).

NOTE: Onty Original manufacturers or their authorized distributors may submittheir offers along with letter of authorization from the principal. Traders/ agentsare not acceptable and their offers will be rejected.

2 List of testing facilitiesTesting facilities required to conduct all the tests as per spec. AM-74006 must beavailable wlth the firm, preferably in-house. List of outsourced facilities may besubmitted, Outsourced labs/ firms should be NABL accredited.

3 The firm should have at least 3 years manufacturing and supply experience ofsame/similar material to some reputed motor/generator manufacturers, The proofof the same (PO Copies) with supply experience to be attached. If required, pricescan be masked in PO copies. Performance certificate (VPR etc.) of the vendor fromthese manufacturers may be attached.
