What is the CWA?

The 1977 amendments: Regulates pollutant discharge in U.S.

waters. Allowed EPA to create pollution control

programs. Made a standard of how much pollution can

be deposited into U.S. waters. Can’t dump sewage without a permit. Noticed that they need to pay more

attention to non-direct sources of pollution as well.
